Ashton is here!

Ashton came on sept 9 at 1016! i went into labor about 720 and i got to the hospital around 11. the epidural went in at 120 and i didnt feel anything after that. the labor was great. the only problem was i had a temp so i was shaking really bad and my pulse was up but after such a hard pregnancy the labor seemed like a breeze. i pushed for 35 minutes and he shot out fast. he was 7 pounds 7 ounces and 19 inches long. he cried before he was even all the way out and sucked some fluid back in his lungs so we had to stay an extra day in the hospital so he could get some antibiotics to get rid of the fluid and prevent infection but hes fine now. i lost more blood then normal but other then that everything went great. i didnt think the recovery would be so easy. i was pretty sore the first 2 days but after i was fine. my stitches dont hurt at all. i kept sayin when i was pregnant that he would be my only one because pregnancy was so horrible but i would do it a million more times for him. i never knew you could love someone so much.

CONGRATULATIONS!!! I'm so happy to hear that your l&d was such a breeze! And it sounds as if recovery is going great too! Did you end up with an episiotomy (ie. the stitches)? 7lbs 7oz is a GREAT size. Enjoy this time with him as a tiny little guy, he will be a year old before you know it!

That's awesome that you're recovering so quickly! I wish I could've said the same, 4 days after delivery... Great job!
