im 35 weeks pregnant and having pains in my lower right abdomen

im 35 weeks pregnant and having cramps that feel like menstrual cramps and pains in my lower back. I've also been feeling very tired for a couple of days, loose stools, and the baby isn't moving as much. Is this all signs that labor is close?

Yes, all definitely signs. If the pains are coming at regular intervals, make sure to note the times and call your doctor if they are more frequent than 4 per hour. Make sure you are drinking plenty of water, since dehydration can cause early labor, and your blood volume increases 20-40% during the last 6 weeks of pregnancy, meaning you need to be drinking more. Also try lying on your left side for an hour when the pains start... You want the baby to stay in for a few more weeks....

Interesting, I didn't know that about the blood volume increasing. Maybe that's why I've been SSSSOOOOO thirsty for a couple weeks now.

Anyway, I just wanted to say as well that these are all signs that labor is coming nearer, but it still could very well be a few weeks (which wouldn't be a bad thing, since you still have a little ways to go until your due date, although if baby was born soon I'm sure it'd be fine!!). I started experiencing that stuff with my first at about 38 weeks or so, and I ended up being induced at 41 weeks. And now I'm 38w 3d with my second, and I've been having all those symptoms for about a week, and they're just now beginning to intensify.

Hang in there! It's not much farther for you now!
