Just over 35 weeks pregnant with weird backache and what feels like period pains. I do feel like i constantly need a bowl movement but can't go. This is my second pregnancy, i just dont feel right. Is labour close??
It could be that the baby is dropping into position. I went through a very similar feeling when I was about 29 weeks pregnant. I just didn't feel right, cramping, and braxton hicks contractions that were really getting strong. I also felt like I needed to have a bowel movement. I went into the ER, it turned out to be a very large baby, stretching muscles, poor position, etc. In other words.....I was just feeling very uncomfortable because I was pregnant. This is my fourth......you would have thought I would have been able to put all that together without the emergency trip to the hospital. But basically, until you are seeing blood, or having regular contractions, or your water breaks, there is no way to pin point how close labor is. Your 35 and 1/2 weeks along......it really is getting close for you. So like I said, it could be the baby dropping into position, or it could just be that your uncomfortable because everything is still stretching and pulling in there. If you haven't seen blood, I wouldn't worry. Good luck!
Thank you for replying to me. I should of been a little clearer. Baby is engaged and has been for weeks now, she engaged around 31 weeks. Ive still woken up feeling the same today, im definitely more aware of the pains, just a little worried as im not 37 weeks yet. I am thinking now maybe its pre labour? But of course i just dont know. I hope you are feeling better now! It is true when they say every pregnancy is different, ive also been losing my mucus plug (sorry if tmi) i hope your pregnancy is going great, and thank you again for replying.
Well, 37 weeks is of course ideal.......but your baby, if born today even, will be perfectly fine I'm sure. He/she may have to make a quick stay in the nicu, but other then that, all should be fine! If your losing your mucus plug, that sometimes can be an indicator of early labor. If your worried, go see your doctor. They may just feel it's ok for labor to start, or they may try to stop it for a while. Good luck!
