HELP!!!!!!!!!!

I am the mother of a 5 month old boy. I was happy to have him and wanted to try for another one in say 1 year. Well, number two has come sooner than we ever planned. I am 1 month 2 weeks preg. and shocked. I was on the shot. Hubby is tickled pink but I am sooo upset. I was going to start school in the fall and I was just starting to lose weight from having my son. I had a c-section with my son and I'm scared that I will be fat forever. I know this seems petty but my life has been thrown out of wack for a year now...and it has only gotten crazier. Has anyone else dealt with something like this?? What should I do to move past this weight issue?? I guess I asked for the baby by having sex and would never consider having an abortion but how do I regain MY life?? I want to go to school so I can provide for my children. My hubby does a good job but he is almost 40 and I need to be able to provide for our family if anything should happen. I'm so lost. <IMG SRC="http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/blob_fire.gif">

Re: HELP!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, I can commisserate on many of those issues. First off, I dont like being preggers. I like to dress a certain way and maternity clothes just make me feel dumpy. And for the love of God, I dont want any more stretch marks!!!! I can deal with what I have, but if I get more I will be upset. And I worry about getting my figure back, my breasts sagging, and the state of my body all the time lately. You can see all my veins, Im bruising easily, my neck is starting to feel puffy, my belly button is popping out--I so do not feel attractive!!!! Also, my hubby and I just got married, and we struggle to find alone time as it is. We are crazy about each other, and wish we had more time to date, and just be around each other. Now we have a baby on the way and I fear we will never have time for each other anymore. I go to bed early cause Im soooo tired, and that cuts into alot of our time right there. Ive been pregnant since we got married and Ive been hormonal and sick as heck. And of course, the money is tight, but we can afford this. We just wont be cruising around in new cars for another year or 2. We are making alot of sacrifices. Ive said a million times that if we had planned this, I would have gotten preggers after at least a year of being married. But I think when all is said and done, we will probably look back someday and not want to change a thing.

Re: HELP!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sorry if I gave the idea that I'm not happy about the baby. My hubby and I got preg. 2 months after being married. We still go out every other weekend and spend time together even though he works 12-16 hours 5 days a week as a restaurant manager. We have enough money for the second baby...I just really wanted encouragement from other moms with more than one baby. One way I keep my son happy is to let him in the bathroom when I'm getting sick...he thinks the noises are cool!! In regards to the one who left the top message...all those marks will fade away and you can lose the weight. You will wear nice clothes again. But you will miss being able to do things one handed and sleeping in. Most of all you will miss feeling the baby kick and one day..you will want to do it all over again.

Re: HELP!!!!!!!!!!

Is there any reason that you cannot go to school while you're pregnant? I continued to attend college while pregnant. I was due over the summer so it didn't interfere with school, but I did have to send my daughter to daycare at 5 1/2 weeks. I still breastfed till she was 4 1/2 months old. I worked my classes out so that I could pump at a certain time every day. I'd refridgerate the milk and send it to daycare the next day. I ended up having to only pump once a day. My daughter, now 7 1/2, has never had a problem going to daycare, she's always loved it, because there were other kids there to play with and not at home.

But, back to going to school, if you're due during a semester, choose your classes wisely, don't take classes that require attendance, like human anatomy, or biology, calculus, etc. Take your general courses, the ones you could easily read the book and outlines to keep up. I believe your instructor is required to work with you, because it is a medical abscence. Also most colleges have online courses that you can do at your own home. Remember, babies do take alot of naps. Plenty of time to get in at least 30 minutes of online study.

Re: HELP!!!!!!!!!!

See I am going to scholl to be an orthodontist...all my classes require attendence and my due date is Oct. 1 but I will have a c-section which means I will have him 2 weeks before that or maybe 1. It also means it will take two weeks to get to where I can walk real far.
