I read a book on the weekend about when you ovulate your groin lymph node becomes swollen on the same side you ovulate. hey this is one way that I can check because I am thin in that area from excercising. does anyone know where to find more info on this topic?
thanks
Lori
Hi Lori,
I have never heard of this, but I think it makes sense. The lymph node on my right side (groin) suddenly got huge and painful last October. I went to the doctor and found out I was newly pregnant. The baby did also implant on my right side (same side that was swollen), so maybe there is a connection. Sorry I don't have any info. Good luck!
Hi Andrea
thanks for the reply. mine is also enlarged on the right side. I read that it call swellen when ovulating to the size of a pea. my is quite larger than a pea. but I have noticed this is the past and never thought anything of it. I am going to take the Hpt later this week or next. if I was on a 28 day cycle today would be the first late day but I am not.
Yes, I read that too. From my understanding of it, the swollen area should be actully between your legs, for example parallel to your clitorus (sp?) area. I couldn't ever really notice anything different. Possibly a little swelling bump, but I definately wouldn't swear on it.
Hi
Thanks for the reply. I first noticed this on Sunday and it still is enlarged on the right side. I don't imagine that I would ovulate for 4 days. hummmm. well I will keep trying and praying
take care
Lori
Mine stayed enlarged for probably the first 2 weeks of pregnancy. Good luck!! <IMG SRC="http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif"> <IMG SRC="http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif">
Hi Andrea
Was the lymph node tender?? This is how mine is feeling. not too sore but just tender. but my boobs don't hurt today and my moods are back to normal. funny how you wish you had these symptoms when you want to be pregnant but when it was pms forget it!
