It's vitally important that the dr monitors you very closely, and that you stick to your diet, for the baby's sake.
My co-worker's daughter had gestational diabetes, but it when undiagnosed, and as a result, unmonitored. The baby had lots of problems and had to be fed through a stomach tube. Again, this was an extreme case because she wasn't monitored.
Just be sure that your Dr. monitors you and the baby, and everything should be fine!
BTW, little DJ is doing just fine now, he's 5 months old and you can't tell anything was wrong him.
