I'm a little worried. I am starting to show, my appetite has increased but I'm not gaining any weight! at 18 weeks, it seems like I should be. Do you think the baby is getting enough to eat? I hadn't had much of an appetite until lately, but now I do, but it's still not showing up on the scale. <p>[This message has been edited by siren1024 (edited 02-10-2003).]
Don't worry about it. My first son I gained way too much. But this time I've just been eating normal and fought some massive nausea in the beginning but I had only gained 3 1/2 lbs by my 20 week appt. This last appt caought up though from 26-30 weeks I gained 8 lbs. So just let time take its course and make sure you get enough calcium or the baby will get it from your teeth.
I am 15 1/2 weeks with no weight gain too. It's common and franklyI am thrilled with this as I could stand to gain very little on my 179 lb body!! I am 5'8 so thank God people always guess me to weigh 140! HA jokes on them!

Hey Siren do you want some of my weight?! LOL I would love to give you some!! I started out 206 because I was on a diet and of course once I found out I sorta went overboard and at too much!! So I am now 15 wks and am at 222. But these last two weeks I have only gained a half a pound, so I think I am finally getting this under control!! I feel pretty good and like I've read I have to just shrug off the initial weight gain and move on and do things right!
As long as your doc isn't concerned everything should be o.k.
God bless,

I can so relate, Angel!!!!! I was on a diet and lost 35 pounds then got pregnant. I sore to myself that I was not going to go overboard and gain all of that weight back, but I can not stand the thought of dieting while I am pregnant. I eat all the time and I have gained 10 pounds this month. I have already gained 15 pounds and I am 16 weeks.
I just skip over that part in the book too. I don't want to think about it.
