I've had an exciting past 2 weeks. Hubby took me to the hospital Feb 5th. I was having contractions every 4 minutes and they pumped me full of IV fluids (5 Bags) That seemed to do the trick at the time. Well then 4 days later, they started up again ... hubby took me back in and they gave me a magnesium Sulfate Drip (Talk about morning sickness ladies ... this is like 50 times worse then normal ms ) They said I have an Irritable Uterus. Anyhow, my contractions now are spanned apart considerably. They gave me my last U/S until delivery and said for the second time within the last 2 u/s that I was 1 week and 6 days further along, so I'm now at 31 weeks. Doctor said if I can remain in bed for the next 3 weeks (Carrying them to 34 weeks), the boys will have minimal problems (Such as only needing oxygen and an incubator for warmth.) I'm going to hate my bed before this is all over with! Anyhow, thought I'd update you all. I hope everyone is doing great!
Take it a week at a time and aim for 36 babe!! Your can do it I am sooooo rooting for ya!!! Go boys go!! Or should I say Grow boys GROW!! Hang in there and lots of TLC from your hubby will get you through!

Baby's Arrival Expected August 2, 2003
Baby A is Brendan Douglas and he weighs approx. 3 lbs 14 ozs. Baby B Is Stephen James and he is approx 3 lbs and 2 ozs. Strange how they get the weight even though they don't actually weigh them ... they go by measurements! LOL, with my luck I'll get to 34-36 weeks and off bedrest and not go into labor and I'll have 2 monsterous babies. Oh, I also forgot to mention in my 1st post, that I failed my Glucose Tolerance Screening and now have to take the 3 hour test. I was borderline with my last 2 pregnancies. I was told not to fast with the first test, maybe this is why it was a little elevated. This could be a problem as well with the boys growing too large! Need lots of prayers this way!
You go, girl! Hold onto those boys as long as you can! You have my prayers I wish you lots of books and good t.v. shows while you are lazing (oh...I mean "resting") LOL around for the next several weeks. I agree...go for 36 or 38 or 40 weeks!!!! A happy and healthy duo of boys to you and I hope you are feeling well also! Good luck and congratulations on the twins!
Just wanted to wish you luck and a happy bedrest. Don't you go forgetting about us now! Lots of hugs to you hon!
I was just thinking about you today at work, wondering how all was going. That is great that at 34wks that is all they will probably need. I have the gestational diabetes, but mine was diagnosed at 13wks, now I am 15. They tried the diet w/me but it didn't work so I am taking 1 shot of insulin a day.
Good luck, read lots, and maybe if you knit you could knit the BOYS a blanket. Stay off your feet, maybe you will last till 36wks!!!!
Keep us updated
