Hi Siren24...
I believe where your husband is from is quite a bit north of where I am located. I am about 20 miles southwest of the city of chicago (downtown area). It is nasty cold here. I spent from 1988 to 2000 living in the Tacoma area of Washingston state and I miss the beautiful weather there (mild winters and summers...though lots of rain). I moved back here because this is where I am from originally!
I was in the Air Force myself and that is where I met my girls' father. He was from Arkansas. We met in Wichita Falls, TX, moved from there to Tucson, AZ (2 years), then spent 3 years in Ankara, Turkey, then he got stationed at McChord AFB in Tacoma, WA. I got out of the Air Force about two weeks before my first daughter was born in 1983 (she was born January 1984). My youngest daughter was born in a Turkish hospital! That was an experience!
I liked when we were in the Air Force because I love to travel and have loads of wanderlust! So much to see and do. I also met very nice lady friends everywhere we lived who either lived in our apartment complex, or were other military spouses like I was. I absolutely LOVED it!
Look for things to do that you could not have done if you were home! Make friends at each place (it usually isn't too difficult)...women love to talk! As evidenced by my email! Take up hobbies/crafts that you enjoy, read books, and check out the local areas! I bet if you are any kind of adventurous, as I am, you will love it! And you will always have the boards!
Good luck to you! <IMG SRC="http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/angel.gif">
