Pregnant women, runny nose/nose bleeds??..get first ultrasound today!!!!!

I saw someone mentioned this as a possible symptom..
can it be?

my fiance is getting her first ultrasound, she had a gush of brown/black/and a little darker maroon blood a few weeks back when we discovered she was pregnant..a blood test a few days later (after sp[otting stopped) came back definatley positive and symptoms have progressed..Then another test a few days later..HPT test, I believe it was a EPT came back VERY, VERY faintly positive....BUT symptoms have continud the past 3 weeks since.... sickness, no vomit, only the sensation of it coming up in her throat, dizziness, breasts have gone up a cup size and nipples are sensitive, bloated, some weight gain, no signs of ovulation/period about 3 or 4 weeks after spotting, it seems symptoms may overwhelm her one day and be gone the next, return the day after...and so on...and mood swings, headaches.....all the classic symptoms..except one...runny nose that comes and go and gets very stuffy..un explained and is not related to any sickness or the flu....we find out in a few hours what's going on cause we get the first ultrasound, were past 8 weeks now...woohoo.... anyways...what about this runny nose and does anyone else havy any other opinions on all these symptoms??

I'm 13 weeks pregnant and have experienced the stuffy/runny nose since about 8 weeks as well. I wouldn't worry - from what I've read it's common. I'm so envious of your fiancee, where I'm from I have to wait until I'm 18-22 weeks along before my first ultrasound. My nutrionist told me that I should be hearing the heartbeat via a doppler during my first doctor's appointment which is next week - also my birthday. I can't wait.

Best of luck.

Nasal stuffiness is something you get when you are pregnant. It does talk about this in the book "what to expect while you are expecting", a great book to get. My doctor told me I could take sudafed also if it was that bothersome. You should check with her doctor first though.

Lol I have a rash and a runny/stuffy nose. Ive had all this since I was about 2 months preggers. Some of the symptoms may not seem to make sense, but pregnancy comes with soooooooooooo much more than just a big belly!
