I took a first response pregnancy test this after noon and got an extremely faint pink line. I was just feeling pregnant (we've been trying for 6 months). I am not sopposed to start my period still for a week. I went and bought another test (ept) and got a negative result. the ept test says not to take untill you miss your period and the 1st repsone test says you can take it 3 days before you start. Which one should i believe?
When testing before your period is due it is truly best to do it with the first morning urine. It has the highest amount of HCG.
Wait a couple of days and then do another test following the directions for doing it in the morning.
Or you can call your doctor and see if he/she will do a blood test to see what those results are.
If you got a faint pink line with afternoon urine, chances are you will get a darker line with morning urine. It sounds like you are pregnant because most tests won't show a line at all if you don't have hcg detected. They say even if it is faint, it means hcg was detected and you can assume you are pregnant. I was the QUEEN of taking pregnancy tests (I took so many) and I NEVER EVER got a faint line when I wasn't pregnant. However I did get faint lines when I was pregnant. Good luck and let us know how it goes.
