this pregnancy has been one thing after another. My first did not include the back pain, painful kicking, fatigue, and now heartburn!!! But lo and behold, this week, after having about 2 weeks of bad back pain which finally tapered off, I have icky yucky heartburn, which I have never had! I feel so icky, like a fiery ice cube is stuck way down in my throat. I know this is "normal" for a person at 6 1/2 months of pregnancy and I know that I only have about 3 more months of this crap, but Im tired of feeling icky. Started the pregnancy with horrible morning sickness and fatigue, which turned into more fatigue and moodiness, which turned into back pain and heartburn and fatigue. At least the fatitgue is a constant variable here ! Actually, the moodiness has been pretty constant too. wheeeeeeeeeee!
I feel your pain! I've had heartburn since the minute I found out I was pg w/dd #1. It lessens when I'm not pg, but doesn't totally go away. I keep a bottle of tums in my van, in the living room and one in the bedroom. Milk works, too. Though you have to be careful, because too much calcium can aggravate hb. Oh the joys of pregnancy.

I've had heartburn the entire time too. I hate it. I keep tums by my bed at night so I can get some sleep! If it wasn't for tums, I think I would go insane. Another thing that helps is papaya enzyme. It helps break down protein. It really does help me. You can get it at a vitamin store.
I don't know if ya'll have considered this but my doc just gave me the little list of drugs you can have and Zantac and Tagament are on it. I have a prescription for my acid reflux so I know how bad ya'll are feeling but Tums really doesn't seem to cut it with this kind of heartburn. Just a suggestion..but it does help.
