Anyone know where I can get maternity underwear/hose?

I don't have a whole lot of money to blow, and the stuff online is very expensive. I've been to stores that carry maternity clothes, like Sears, etc. but haven't found any maternity lingerie. I'm pretty thin and my belly is poking out alot. I'm carrying WAY out front (due to being narrow hipped, doc says) and I have a little spinal curvature in my lower back. It kind of goes in, like when I lay on the floor, that part doesn't touch the ground. I think that's been causing my lower back pain now that my tummy is getting bigger. A friend of mine suggested maternity underwear and hose, as they will help with belly support (she said it cut down on her lower abdominal pain, too) but I can't find them anywhere!!!

Wal-Mart has them here. I just had to buy some. It was $8 for 3 pair...not to bad.

What about a specialty maternity shop?We have those here and much different selection of maternity clothes compared to Sears and Walmart. And I had mentioned also on the maternity underwear. They keep you snug and looking pregnant and much more comfie compared to regular undies.I also bought maternity tights because I wore skirts for work and the regular tights were cutting of circulation. And for other clothes, check out consignment shops. They usually have reasonably priced used maternity clothes.

Target carries it too. But you need to look with the other undies and not in the maternity section.

I've seen them at Kohls and I think that store is reasonably priced. They always have sales and I'm pretty sure you can order online too! Good Luck!

i dont know if they have one by you but there is a store called motherhood in most malls that carry underwear and i believe nylons as well.

siren--i'm small too(due 6days before you) and my belly is really starting to stick out. i've found so far that really low cut bikinis have been working for me but i'm really starting to get the back pain(so bad i could cry) and that store motherhood has maternity bikinis so next time i go i'm gonna try them out, so i'll let you know. this is your first right? if you don't mind me asking, how old are you ?

Re: Anyone know where I can get maternity underwear/hose?

Thanks for the advice!

--Newlittlemomma, I've heard of motherhood, unfortunately, our local mall doesn't have one. It would be great if you could let me know how they work out, though. To answer your question, I'm 22 and dh is 28 and this is our first. I've been able to wear bikini briefs, too (in a size larger, my butt's grown too. heehee) but I hear you on the lower back pain. The other night it was so bad, and there doesn't seem to be any position of relief. I did find one that worked though, for future reference. I rolled up in a ball face down on the bed and tucked my knees way up under mychest and shoulders and put the top of my head on the bed. It helped to stretch it out some. Oh, and the heating pad has worked miracles.

kmart, walmart, target all sell them. JC Penney also has a great selection.
Also Macy's here carries Motherhood line where there is no Motherhood in the mall.
I didn't like the bikini cut but found the bigger stuff much more comfortable. You need to try on what you buy.
Good luck.
