Alright, AF is due tomorrow, I feel like I am pg (according to what I've read and heard from other women) now, should I take the test this evening when I get home????? Or should I wait unit tomorrow????? Has anyone out there that is pg taken a test early (before AF) and it came out positive? Sorry to be a pest, but I am going home in about 2 hours and I don't want to waste the test! HELP???!!!
Re: To test or not to test....that is my question!
I took an Early Response 11 days after ovulation (4 days before AF was due) and got a positive. Depending on the type of test your using, you should be able to test tonight. Good luck!
[This message has been edited by kmc235 (edited 02-06-2003).]
Re: To test or not to test....that is my question!
Out of my 3 pregnancys I didnt get a pos. result until I was like 7 weeks or later on. I dont know what your symptoms are but if it were me I think I would wait until you miss your AF for sure. good luck in what you wish for.

Re: To test or not to test....that is my question!
Thank you so much for your responses ladies, but I went ahead and took the test and received another negative. I am sad, but life goes on. Thanks again.
Re: To test or not to test....that is my question!
I've never had a HPT come out positive until I was at least 5 weeks pregnant. Don't ask me why! But a few negative tests don't always mean you're not pregnant, especially if you start to see a really faint line. Just wait a few days (if possible!) and try another test if you really think you're pregnant. You never know. Good luck.
Re: To test or not to test....that is my question!
Thanks Goldengirl! I will wait some more. See, my problem is I spotted last week on the Tues 28th (which has never happened to me before) and I have been battling much nausea and heartburn together for this past week so I thought that the test would finally come out positive. Although I hear that many women do not suffer heartburn until way later on, I was hoping this annoyance would be for the best. Must be me! Anyhoo, AF never showed up – last visit was on January 7- - so, I’ll take my last test (I found another in the box, maybe that will be the lucky one!) in a couple of days. Thanks again for your advice.
Re: To test or not to test....that is my question!
Hello! I wouldn't worry too much about that test. If I were you, I'd do another one, but do it first thing in the morning. That way, you know for sure that your doing it at the absolute best time of day. If you can't do that, then I would wait 4 hours (w/out going to the bathroom) to do it. I read that somewhere! It takes a few hours for the HCG to build up and if you are drinking and going to the bathroom a lot, it may not register on the test.
I can't even be supportive and tell you to take it in a few days. If it were me, I'd have that test laid out and ready to go first thing in the morning....I'm bad!
