Just found out yesterday!! Is it normal not to have morning sickness yet?

Hi everybody!!
I did an HPT test yesterday and it was ++++++. we have waited to see this line for almost two years... I had a miscarraige in November 2000 at 6 weeks. I am excited but worried also!
I do not have morning sickness... and someone told me/ or I read somewhere.. chances of m/c are more if you donot have morning sickness!
Is it normal not to have morning sickness this early in pregnancy?

NO offense but that's a bunch of crap. I hardly had any morning sickness with my kids. Nausea but never threw up. And I'm sure the nasuea didn't start right away. I did have a miscariage and no sickness with that either. Congrats and good luck!

Congratulations on your pregnancy!

I felt nervous too because I remember reading somewhere when I first found out I was pregnant that "throwing up" and getting sick is a good indication that everything is going ok. Well I can honestly say that's a load of bull. Everyone is different - therefore all pregnancies are different. I'm 18 weeks pregnant and have not thrown up once. I went through a 4 week spell where I'd wake up early in the morning feeling very nauseated but drinking lemonade and eating crackers quickly relieved my uneasy stomach.

Try not to stress out. This is supposed to be a happy time for you. Relax and rest! You and your baby need it.

Morning sickness is different from woman to woman. Actually, in one of my books it says only 50% of pregnant women experience some form of it. I never threw up, but I have felt queezy many times. Also, sometimes it's more of an empty, acidic feeling in the stomach. In my first pregnancy with my daughter I don't remember being sick at all!! I didn't know I was pregnant until I was about 8 weeks. I did have a m/c last year and I don't think I was sick either. This time around, I'm 13 weeks, I have had a lot of nausea, but no throwing up. Usually the nausea comes if I don't get something into my stomach. That's just me. I have heard that sickness is a sign that hormones are being produced, and the sicker the better. But given what I went through with my first pregnancy, I can't see that it's true. Also, I think, and this is just personal opinion, that if you eat right and get your 10 glasses of H2O a day, it can do wonders for morning sickness. Anyway, congratulations on your pregnancy, and hopefully the morning sickness will stay atbay!!!

CONGRATS!! I'm so happy that you are finally preg.!! I do not believe that bull about the sickness. With my son I was queasy but nothing more. This time I am constantly sick. Be thankful! LOL!! I understand the feelings of nervousness after having a m/c. My parents lost a son about 6 years ago. He was born at 6 1/2 months and lived 4 1/2 months. It is hard to put yourself out there when you know how bad it can hurt if everything doesn't turn out like you think it will. But that hurt helps you appreciate everything SO much more. My parents had my sister 5 years ago and another baby boy 4 months ago and they love those children as much as they can as often as they can b/c they know how fragile life can be. I am sure everything will go great this time and I will keep you in my prayers! Good Luck!!

Smile, life doesn't last that long.
