I am a clerk at Columbia Gas. I work with 10 gas well tenders (all men) and my supervisor (man).
Well one of the well tenders just got a new toy. It is a dog repelent because he has problems with wild dogs out in the woods where his well is. You push a little button and it sends out a high frequency sound that only dogs can hear and it makes them run away.
Well I guess he decided to try it out on me. He crept up behind me and pushed the little button and I thought I went deaf. I hear the noise. I don't know if the thing is defective or if I am part dog, but it about made me go blind.
Do you think that was harmful to the baby? I really thought I was going to pass out there for a min. and I couldn't catch my breath for a couple of seconds.
Well, I am getting ready to go home, so that is good.
I had a really bad tick bite last summer and now I can hear dog frequencys. He swore he couldn't hear it. He even went out in the hall and pushed it and I screamed. I feel sorry for dogs. That noise really made me sick for about 20 min.
I know this is going to cause a lot of jokes here at the office now.
No I didn't notice any movement. Maybe my baby is full blooded human instead of bloodhound. LOL
Poor little puppy <IMG SRC="http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/frown.gif">. Sorry I could not resist and then you said you got the tick bite which just kept me going, but if I were you I would have gave him a charlie horse and asked if he felt that because if he did then he must be part horse! What an A$$!! I work with all men too so don't feel alone! I would call the doc to just ask. Have a good day otherwise.

I work with idiots too! Wow! Part dog, eh? LOL What a heritage you are passing down to your little one!!! Just teasing! Men and toys are something else, aren't they??? Take care, and I hope you feel better. I didn't know those things could actually hurt the dogs? That is so cruel!
I have been known as the Pitbull Mother (I am very protective when other kids are rude to mine on the playground....VERY...I will hunt down their parents like you don't even know)! However, I would prefer to be called the Rottweiler Mommy since I love those dogs! My Rotty, Heidi, died a few years ago of old age. Hey, but she thought she was a poodle! So Kelly you could always be a Rottweiler trapped in a poodles body. I guess you need that dimeanor in that working environment! And if anyone ever askes me if I know what a well-tender is I will say that it is an idiot that takes care of gas and oil wells. You learn something new everyday!!
