Sorry to do this- I know that I'm obsessing, but you would be, too. Okay (again), I'm 18 DPO (and my temps are still up really high) and got a BFN on 16 DPO. I have been having (off and on) a pulling/cramping in my uterus region (mostly on the left side) for the past mmmmm....5 days or so. Has anyone ever had a cyst? Is this what happened? Also, I noticed this morning that I smell different, uh... down there. Not bad at all- just different (it's not a yeast infection and I took a shower )and seems stronger than usual. I still have a lot of discharge (usually do). I hope someone has imput.
[This message has been edited by shaylind (edited 02-20-2003).]
Listen, missy! (LOL) Will you please go to the doctor for a blood test? You sound like you are pregnant to me (not to get your hopes up!)...I've had a hemorrhagic cyst on the right ovary. I don't remember much in the way of pain, but I did have bleeding. During an ultrasound, I was told I had a cyst on the right ovary but was told that it is cyclical and normal. Again, I don't remember pain. It might be a little tender but not really painful. But I am not a doctor!!! Get thee to a physician! Besides...I can't wait to find out! Good luck My is with you, as are my prayers
I should have been more specific- I have read that a corpus luteum cyst can keep your temps up and stop AF from arriving until it resolves. I am assuming that might be what my deal is.
I agree! Go get tested. Those sound just like my super early pg symptoms right around when AF was supposed to come. As a matter of fact, I was scared to death of that pain on my left side. I thought I had an ectopic pregnancy. And the smell thing too, happened with me. I was wondering if your urine had a different smell to it. Mine did early on, kind of stronger, but sweeter.
Siren- my pee (how weird is this) started smelling funny about a week ago, but I assumed it must've been something I ate. I'm too worried about that left sided pain to think about anything else. What did yours feel like?
BTW- I did call my RE's office and they said that a nurse will be calling me back (probably after she gets back from lunch).
My side pain varied. It would be a dull ache, then all the sudden, I'd get the sharp (twisting is a great way to describe it) pain a few times, and it would be over really quickly, maybe return to the ache again. I had that off and on for about 3 weeks. I had some positive HPT's, so I knew I was pg, but I had to wait to get into my doc appt, so I had convinced myself I was ectopic and was going to lose a tube. Everything was just fine, though, and the doc said that was fairly common in early pg. And I noticed the weird pee smell about the same time. I think it has to do with the hormones, and that's something that doesn't change, I still have it.
OMG- mine has been doing that, too! Whew. Maybe it's not anything really bad (no pain right this second- just pulling- kind of in my right side but just the pulling part). Well, if it turns out that I am pregnant (which I'm not sure I can accept right now), I won't worry about an ectopic. I hope.
It sounds just like what happened to me too in early pregnancy!! I can't wait until you get in to the doc and find out for sure!! It's tough to say, but boy does it sound like this is your month!!! Let us know as soon as you can, please!!!!
God bless,

last month when I was spotting I asked my Doc. about cysts and he said that it is probably not due to cysts are very painful. Not just crampy, but sharp pains.
I finally got a call back from the nurse at the RE's. I told her my concerns and she said that they WANT the corpus luteum cyst to form because it happens when the egg is released and it supports the embryo until the placenta forms. I think the stuff that I've been reading is still relevant (about no pregnancy but the cyst won't go away), but I cannot do a thing about it.
She also asked if I had a rise in my temp (assume she meant implantation). My temp went up another .5 degree on 15 DPO. She said to wait 2 weeks from that day just watching my temps and then test (she said that I tested way too early). I may be content to just do that. I'm happy to know that if it is a cyst, it will go away on its own.
You are all beginning to make me wonder, though .
Shaylind, now that you mention it, that is how my doc explained it to me. When I told him I was afraid I had a cyst (after ruling out ectopic pg... I think I read too much and make myself paranoid) he told me that if you take 100 women who have had children or been pregnant, 100 of them will have an ovarian cyst show up at some point in their lives for that very reason. Sounds very promising to me. Lots of baby dust to you!!!!!!!!!!!
