What do you think?

Hi, I am new to this board and just needed to get a girls opinion on my situation. Everyone here gives such great advice that I figured I would give it a shot. My husband an I had intercourse on Dec.28 which is my most fertile day and we tried to concieve. Yesterday Jan.5 I went to the bathroom and when I wiped I had a little blood. (very small amount) I looked on the computer at a site and found out it was my implantation day. Today I felt very nauseaus and just wanted to be in bed all day. Ever since we tried I have felt bloated too. Do you think I am pregnant. I think about it so much I can't sleep at night. Also when do you think I should test. I can't wait much longer.

P.S. Sorry so long

NJ Mom,
Ironically we are on the same cycle and I am trying as well to get pregnant. Your symptoms and the spotting sound promising. I think you can test as early as this 3 days before your next period is due or 12 days after the day that you think you conceived. I've read that the test Confirm is pretty good for early detection. Good luck and let us know what happens.

Hi NJMom

My husband and I were trying to conceive back in October. My period was due around November 17th and before that date I noticed slight changes in my body. I got really sick around Hallowe'en and could not stop throwing up (sorry). Then I noticed that my breasts - they didn't get sore but I noticed the nipples were a lot larger and tender.

Like you, according to websites online I experienced what is known as implantation spotting. I woke up and had a brown discharge on my underwear. Then the day my period was due, whenever I wiped I just had VERY little red spotting - nothing at all like my normal heavy, crippling periods.

I tried taking various pregnancy tests but was unable to come up with anything but a FAINT positive until I tried Confirm a week after my pregnancy was due. I'm now proud to say my husband and I are 12 weeks pregnant and expecting our first child July 25th, 2002.

Best of luck to you!

Kim

Re: What do you think?

Hi there. If you say you had sex on the 28th, then you should be able to take a test now. Some are a lot more sensitive than others. If you want to see a chart on the ones that are most sensitive, (can detect level of 20, which can be taken they claim 6-8 days after conception), look up pregnancy test comparisons in your search bar. There are actually a lot that you can buy that have that level. First Response Early Result is one. But take it from me, you might want to wait about a week more, so you don't get that almost not there positive result which will make you want to do more tests. You can spend a lot of money. I took a test (actually several) about 8 days after I believe we conceived and I got a very, very faint positive. So your best bet is to wait until you don't get confusing results. You can, however, have a blood test done for about 50 bucks, maybe more or less depending, and they are able to read a positive 6-8 days after conception. Good Luck.

Thanks everybody for your responses. I actually went to cvs today and bought a first response pregnancy test. It says you can take it four days earlier than others. We will see. When I was pregnant with my son I used Clearblue Easy. I really liked that one but this says it will detect sooner. And I am so impatient!!! I think I will try to test tommorow. I will let you know what happens.
