Chewing gum
My sister-in-law told me yesterday that she heard on a science based radio talk-show that studies show that women who chew gum often are more likely to get pregnant than those that dont. Has anyone heard this? and if so, what is the basis for it? Weird question...I know, but I know at least oneof you has heard this before.

I have never heard that before. I am curious if anyone else would know why. I do chew a lot of gum because I am a reformed cig smoker(went from 2packs a day to none when I got pg w/my 3yr old) and am now pg w/#3. Interesting.

If that were true then I would have a dozen or so kids by now. I use to chew my nails..horrible habit. Well in high school I figured chewing gum would help me break that habit. So I have been an avid gum chewer for about 12 years now...lol We went through three years of secondary infertility and chewed gum like crazy during that time because my nail biting habit came back with a vengence and trust me it didnt do any good for our ttcing...
I also hadnt heard of it until today.

Really?? That is so weird. I wasn't trying to get preg. and got preg. easily this time..no gum involved. I used to chew gum all the time...until my son became interested in my teeth. This is something I have never heard of. Hey try it..if it doesn't work at least you have clean teeth!! <IMG SRC="http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif">
