July/August Mama - How's it growin' now!

I am so wanting to "really" hear the heartbeat that I am considering faking something just to go hear it! Ha Ha!!

Re: July/August Mama - How's it growin' now!

I know totally what you mean Marie!!! I hate having to wait a month in between! I can't wait until the appts. are closer together!! Been feeling much movement? My little one has active days and then others not really anything. But today I got some more subtle kicks instead of just butterflies!!

God Bless,

Re: July/August Mama - How's it growin' now!

Hey all,

Just putting my 2 cents in.... I don't know if it is just me but it seems that you guys have to wait an awful long time to be able to get U/S and it is very hard for you to get one if you want to. It could be that i am in a different country i guess (Aussie)

It has been pretty easy for me to get a referral from my doc to have it done. I go for my second one on Saturday (will be 12 weeks on sunday).

Anyways, just be very stern with your docs and demand an U/S throw a tantrum if you have to!! LOL!

I hope you succeed.

Kellie

Re: July/August Mama - How's it growin' now!

HELLO
I understand the heartbeat thing. I want to hear it all the time also. I am going to rent a doppler. just go to your serch engine and type it in rent a doppler. it will take you to some sites and go from there. they are usually around 30.00$ a month. but worth it to ease our minds.
and as for the faking something to hear it I have dont that too with my first one i went to the hospital cause I wanted a sonogram to see what he was.....it worked

Re: July/August Mama - How's it growin' now!

With twins I get to see the doctor every 2wks., so we get to hear the heartbeat often. I would like to hear it everyday, but 2wks is better than 4. I feel for ya'll that have to wait that long. I have the gestational diabetes...I started the diabetic diet and my blood sugar levels are good, except in the morning it is always high. I had lost 2 pounds from 2wks ago, but he wasn't concerned since I have cut out my sugar intake. The diet isn't bad at all, anything to get these babies here healthy. Can't wait to find out what they are. I am thinking 1 of each. I just have that feeling could be totaly wrong though.

Hope ya'll are all doing good, and taking care of yourselves.

Hello ladies

Does anyone have any sour patch kids--i could go for some of those right now. i do have pickles in the fridge i could tackle, though. does anyone know of any at home work outs that i could do? i heard that yoga is good for preggys like me, and they even have preggy yoga videos. once its nice out dh and i plan on walking and stuff, but i need something for right now.

honestly now, what do you all think of the boys name Aidan Dallas Bevan ? we really like irish names and as far as Dallas--my dh is a huge Dallas Cowboys fan and I promised him that we could middle name our son Dallas when we got together. We were together for exactly 3 yrs on our wedding day this past september(yes, we are newlyweds). i got off the pill right b4 the wedding(sept 7,2002) and i found out i was pg on oct 31-------happy halloween to us!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Ladies!

Sounds like everyone is doing good. Can't say I share in the cravings for sour things! Just the mention of "sour patch kids" makes my face pucker.

I am starting to feel very good again. I have been walking on my treadmill twice a day and everything. It feels so nice to have energy again Specially when you have two boys to chase.

Miranda, I was going to ask if you twins were identical but I guess not, since they could be one of each...

I looked at those things with the headphones too, I saw them half off somewhere but didn't buy one fast enough

Well, have a great day ladies

Re: July/August Mama - How's it growin' now!

I thought about doing that to get an ultra sound. I have to wait until I am 22 weeks and I am afraid it will be too big to move around in there and show all.
But, I am afraid if I fake something then it will really happen later. It is just the fact that I am 17 weeks and I know they could tell me what it is if they would just look. It is driving me crazy!! How did our parents ever do it with out an ultrasound?

Re: July/August Mama - How's it growin' now!

My sisters husband is in the ARMY, so all her prenatal care was with a military hospital. They don't give ANY ultrasounds unless absolutely needed. My sister was in the hospital for a week with kidney infection, and she still never even got one u/s. She said when she was in the hospital she always heard women coming in saying they fell, or they couldn't feel the baby move or something, trying to get an u/s. The nurses would just listen for the heartbeat and send them on their way!

Re: July/August Mama - How's it growin' now!

I own the BeBe Sounds headphones and you really can only get good use of them in months 6 (if your in a VERY quiet room) and 7 months on up. I would still recommend it. I bought it with baby number 1 so I got to use it with two and now baby number 3. I just have this terrible feeling you guys. I mean here is the deal. I have an insurance that provides a midwife to you and a doctor only in your test for AFP, which I just had, and in the event that you have a problem delivery and/or multiples. SOooooooo he is the one who I got to hear (barely) the heartbeat from and so if I call and say something is up and I am worried they will give me him. He is nice and all, but he is the only doc on staff at this particular office. I cannot go to the other offices as they are too far for me and I take public transportation. DF can't drive me because of his hours. I feel stuck. I did feel little pops and flutters in week 13 and a few in 14, but now it's like HELLLO where are you baby. I am 16 weeks on Saturday. I know it is early and after all where he did get a heartbeat was very low and deep, but I worry anyway. What should I do? DF said give it some more time to give the baby a chance to really move around so I can feel it, but I dread going to my appt on the 12th of March to find something wrong.

Re: July/August Mama - How's it growin' now!

Good day ladies, how are you all doing?

Lovelyme--I wouldn't worry about the movements, i felt a couple around week 15 or 16 and then nothing for awhile. more recently(im 19 weeks) i've been feeling them more often. also i read that the baby could just be kicking toward the inside of your body rather than the outside toward your belly. and with the faint heart sound, i have a friend who is 22wks and she is carrying so low that in order to hear the heartbeat the had to tilt the bed so she was at an incline and her feet were raised to move the baby out of that low region. maybe thats what your case is. did you carry other ones low as well?

Re: July/August Mama - How's it growin' now!

Well actually 1st baby was high and I could not breath until I finally dropped. Second baby was low probably due to second pregnancy and getting pregnant just after my first daughter's first birthday. I am sure this will be a low carry, but so far it just seems sort of in the middle. At 16 weeks it is hard to say though. I know I am not going through as much ligament pain as with the second baby though so this baby is having a bit of mercy on me for being the third baby.
