July/August Mamas - How's it Groin'?

Hey guess what my wise hiney decided to do last night? I woke up at 1am thinkin', "Yeah pickles" andso I proceeded down stairs to the fridge, couldn't open the damn jar, proceeded then to nag at jar as if it were real, stating my frustration and dislike for any object that would stand in the way of a craving and so non-hesitantly I woke up DF to open them and he agreed. One weak twist for him and of course voila! Damn man brut strength. So After eating 8 of them that I conviently placed in a paper cup so I could take it to bed and just discard the cup in the upstairs bathroom (God forbid I go DOWNstairs to throw it away, but it was okay to make the treck downstairs for pickles). I laid in bed watching Oprah and started to feel that lovely pressurey tingle in my upper chest and then that suppurb squeezing ache........HEARTBURN! Okay so I have been getting it all hours, off and on, here and there, but c'mon man I was ready to fall back asleep all satisfied from my pickle binge! So I concluded that you could call this HEARTburning the Midnight Oil! So now that you have read my lovely story, got any of your own! BTW, the heartburn lasted for a short time thank goodness.
Oh yeah the thread title should have read, "How's it growin?" Not groin...woops!

Re: July/August Mamas - How's it Groin'?

heartburn, constipation, weird dreams, trouble sleeping, no cravings cuz she's been sick, but i'm wiling to go to the ends of the earth to fill her order. All kinda of things going on....

And to answer your ??? about the "pop" feeling...since this is her third and she is very thin, she began feeling things around the 12 week. Not too strongly, but she knows the difference between gas bubbles and a baby move. So yes, it is wonderful ! It helps to know that the baby is moving for her cuz she's been super worried about him/her. I just can't wait until I can feel it too ! have a great day !!! ~~Chris

Re: July/August Mamas - How's it Groin'?

Heartburn here too. *sigh* Guess I shouldn't complain as a month ago I was annoyed that I had NO symptoms. You get what you wish for!!! The one thing I could really do without is the horrible moodiness! I haven't had PMS since I was a teenager, but it was EVIL then...and thats just what I feel like now. Mean, cranky, and rotten. I wish I could shake it... *sigh*

So, how is everyone else today?

Re: July/August Mamas - How's it Groin'?

Hello all!!!! Well I think over all I haven't been too moody! Although I did cry today because my dh asked me if I realized how much I sniffed. We both have colds and his is pretty bad so I haven't heard much outta him and then when I do it's because I am annoying him! I didn't deal well, but he did apologize and is trying to be more understanding so that's nice.

If I can ever shake these colds I will be doing pretty well I think. I have been getting a lot of movement lately!! My little one I think is going to be a gymnast!!

Hope everyone is doing well!!!

God Bless,
Angel

Re: July/August Mamas - How's it Groin'?

I just want to sleep
I have tried everything. I think if my husband and sometimes my 4 yr old would go into another room and just give me the whole bed to myself...with all of the pillows then I might be able to get comfortable.

Other than that I feel pretty OK.

I go to the doctor Tuesday. Prob. just hear the heart beat again. I want to find out what it is so bad.

Re: July/August Mamas - How's it Groin'?

I've havent felt the babies move yet. But I was a big girl to start with, and this is my 1st pregnancy. I thought in the 2nd trimester the tiredness seemed to go away, guess not. I'm tired all day long, but around 2am I wake up for 1 1/2 to 2 hours wide awake, guess the babies are getting me ready for the 2am feedings.

I go Monday to see the dietician for the diabetic diet. And then I see my doctor again, but just to check things out again. He is wanting to see me every 2wks since we are having twins. No complaints from me just get to hear the heartbeat more often. As of now he plans on my next u/s to be in about 6wks, so hopefully we will be able to find out what they are.

Fast!!! I've popped out over the last couple weeks, and I'm sure you saw my post on round ligament pain. I've had a crazy sour craving.... and I've always been a spicy food lover. My new thing is boiling cabbage and drowning it in hot pepper/vinegar sauce BUT.... I'm having heartburn too and my cravings aren't helping matters at all. Feeling a little movement, thumps every now and then. It's wonderful.

Re: July/August Mamas - How's it Groin'?

I can relate Siren. I have been craving sour things too. And I usually don't like sour things. I eat sweet tarts ALL THE TIME. and strawberries yummy. Yesterday I had a craving for blackberries. Someone said that means we are having a girl.

I hope they are right.

Re: July/August Mamas - How's it Groin'?

Morning all or Afternoon to most! I go today for heartbeat and AFP....yay AFP. My 3 1/2 year old is going with me to hear the heartbeat too! She heard it with baby #2, but I know she doesn't remember. It should be so cool. She saw baby outfits yesterday and said , "Oh these will be for 'MY' baby." I saw this coming. She is sooo maternal and I love it. I am worried like I am before every appt. I always fear them not finding a heartbeat. I could have swore I felt movement in week 13 and a little in 14 and now nothing in 15 so I hope it is because I am just 15 weeks and all. OH YEAH! To Hell with all those docs who say it isn't the baby. Well for second and third timers anyway. A popluar baby magazine I just read said that at 3 months second time + moms can feel a little pop here and there and was thought to be gas in the first pregnancy due to lack of experience is actually the baby. 12 weeks is the actual start time to feel it if you feel any movement, but is more common not to until much later. SO HA HA HA!!
