I just read something I would like to share

I was reading yet another book by one of my fav. authors and she was talking about a Yiddish proverb that meant soemthing like "if you want to make God laugh tell him your plans." The reason this hit me as so funny is I had planned the next few years out. It went something like this...get my son through his 1st birthday...start school in the fall..start trying for a baby only in the months that would result in a winter/springtime preg.(I live in MS and it gets muggy, hot, humid, oppressive..did I mention humid?? and I didn't want to be preg. during the summer again.) Well, here I am 2 1/2 months preg. and I'm gonna be preg. all summer again....just like last summer...I am starting school in the summer to get in a math class and then taking the rest in the fall and having a c-section 1 month and 3 weeks after school starts. Plus, we are buying a house and a new car. Now I know God looked at my planning and laughed so hard he had to tinkle and then blessed me with this baby. Well, I can honestly say I'm glad it has happened this way. After this baby there will not be anymore and as strange as it seems I'm sad about it. I guess sometimes God knows what he is doing. My hubby and I were getting really scared about the cost of two graduations back to back and college...then we realized our kids will be two years apart in school..just like we wanted. My son was born Aug. 28 just before the cut off day and this baby will be born in late Sept. AFTER the cutoff date and will have to wait a year to start school. I guess in God's master plan he gave us our one wish!! LOL!!

Re: I just read something I would like to share

I've thought that more than once. Our "plan" is to get pregnant in Aug. or Sept. so I won't have to be pregnant in the summer when our schedules are the busiest. Guess we'll see!
Congratulations and best of luck to you.

Re: I just read something I would like to share

that happened to me, too! Dh and I planned on having our third in Oct or Nov of this year(I really wanted an autumn baby after 2 spring ones). Right after we decided that we would start in Jan or Feb of 2002, we found out I was pg again. So much for plans, huh?
