spotting and pregnency

I had sex in February after I had my period. This month I only spotted for about 3 days. It was a brownish discharge mainly. I worry too much. Can someone tell me if I should be worried about being pregnent. It is now a week after I spotted. I have an irregular cycle anyway, but I can't help worrying. Someone help??

Re: spotting and pregnency

Your best bet is to take a test to see if you are pregnant or not.
There is a chance of pregnancy when one is sexually active no matter what forms of protection is used or not used.

Re: spotting and pregnency

Thanks, I guess I expected that kind of response, but I worry too much. I had to ask. We did use a contraceptive, but I know anything could happen. Once again, thanks...

No we need to direct them to the search topics box..there have to be at least a million people who have asked that same question. If they took 2 min and looked they could find ANY situation and what everyone's opinion is. Personally, I'm too tired to respond to that question anymore..LOL!! <IMG SRC="http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/blob_fire.gif">

Re: spotting and pregnency

I have to say you guys are sounding a little "snooty". The girl just asked a question, like everyone else. Give her a break!!

Re: spotting and pregnency

Sorry, didn't mean to sound snooty just thinking that maybe we need a better sex ed course in school or something. Maybe not everyone is lucky enough to have a mom like mine..she explained a lot of this stuff to me. I kinda feel bad for these girls b/c they seem to not have anyone to turn to.

Re: spotting and pregnency

I had sex ed in 7th grade! Do you know how much kids that age could care less about the details? The maturity level just isn't there. Sex ed should be tought by parents, on a FREQUENT basis so we grow up understanding, not laughing and being embarassed like 7th graders usually do. My mom also talked to me a lot when I was growing up although I can't say I listened to her much. I was too stubborn. Just remember that some of the people who are asking for help on this board don't need to feel like they will get laughed at or feel ashamed for not understanding.

Re: spotting and pregnency

I know I posted because you feel better about getting a personal response, like somebody is actually listening to you. I looked through the archives and I found my answer several times, but sometimes it just feels better to know that somebody actually cares about what you are thinking and how you are feeling, and maybe you can get a more personalized response.
