very early preg symptom: strong smelling morning urine????

To all the moms to be:

Have any of you had very strong smelling morning urine in the early days of being PG? Before you even knew you were? Since I ovulated a few days ago, I've been getting that unusual smell. Could it be because I've been eating garlic bread at night (but I usually do anyway!) Or could it be a PG sign? I'm probably crazy, BUT. Also, since ovulation, my left ovary hurts as if ovulation is about to happen

Any input is truly appreciated!

Nela.

Re: very early preg symptom: strong smelling morning urine????

Nela,
With my second baby, I had such sharp pains in my ovary that I was afraid I had an ectopic. This was right after I ovulated and before I even knew I was pregnant. So, could be!

Re: very early preg symptom: strong smelling morning urine????

Thanks so much for the replies! (And no, I don't have a bladder infection).

I just have this constant, intense twinge in my left ovary. It seems to be getting more intense, but I know I'm fine because I had a vaginal ultrasound yesterday and the doctor said everything was looking good!
Coppertop and Angel, was your pain constant too?

What about the urine issue anybody?
Thanks!

Nela,
My pain, If I remember (it was almost two years ago) lasted about one day. It was not constant, but any bearing down, or movement seemed to bring it. It was kind of like ovulation twinges only 100X more painful...if that makes sense?

Gosh, Nela, I hope it's a sign!!!!! Yay!!!! Anyway, often your sense of smell greatly heightens when you are pregnant. Maybe it's not the urine smelling any stronger but you sense of smell increasing????? I can't remember about the ovarian pains from when I was pg...it was so long ago now. Wow, Nela...I am so excited. I hope, I hope, I hope....

Re: very early preg symptom: strong smelling morning urine????

It makes sense, but now I'm getting slight twinges in my right ovary too! I'm starting to think this is probably the ovary somehow getting ready for AF. (due in about 10 days) Don't want to be too optimistic, I've been disappointed so many times before.
I'd really like to know about the urine, though.

Wow, Autumn, we cross-posted! Thanks so much for your faith! It COULD be a heightened sense of smell, but everything else seems to smell the same as usual, so I don't really think so.

Re: very early preg symptom: strong smelling morning urine????

I want to tell you to STOP THE MADNESS! But I can't...I know how you feel. First you look for signs that you could be...then you look for signs of AF (maybe to prepare for the worst?)...Nela...I wish I could help you here but I know we all go through this same hope/anguish garbage. Did you have that glass of wine last night? Have a good book to read? A candle? A bathtub? Something in the house to eat that you would normally not eat because its too fattening? I say grab a glass of wine, take a hot bubble bath, bring the decadent food, a book, roll up a towel, light the candle and get in the tub! Take your mind away from this for a few...then come back. You haven't had alot of time since ovulation and lots of things go on once the egg is fertilized...so the pains could be anything. Don't automatically assume that you are preparing for AF...10 days is pretty far away yet to be feeling that, isn't it? I hope I don't sound mean. I want you to be pregnant and I don't want you thinking negative, girl!!! Its a waiting game now...think of me when you having that glass of wine. I'm figuring next month may be a better chance. I think I've missed ovulation completely this month!

Autumn, as usual you're right on the mark! your post made me laugh, it IS madness!!!

BTW, yes, I had a lovely glass of white wine last night, and toasted to all of us
Decadent food? Yes, please, anytime!
I'll try my best to keep positive and to not think about this ALL the time. I promise LOL

I think next month YOU'LL be asking these mad questions, tee, hee!

From your lips to God's ears! And now...while I'm supposed to be working...I'm quitting thinking about ovulation for a minute and am having a double shot espresso and a slice of pumpkin bread...

Re: very early preg symptom: strong smelling morning urine????

That sounds delicious. Enjoy! I'm sitting here waiting for my LATE student to turn up. I'm supposed to be tutoring her at home, but she's very busy with her job... so, I'm chilling out here talking to you. I'm sort of hoping she won't come... why am I so lazy lately? I just had a plate of lovely, hot onion soup with some buttered, brown bread, it was gorgeous!

Re: very early preg symptom: strong smelling morning urine????

Maybe the lazies are part of the winter blahs. I definitely have them too. My sister likes to say that our family is the laziest in America! Although I will say that at least my house is clean. Funny thing though is that I get horrendously CRABBY cleaning it...because I'd rather be laying around reading or watching t.v. or napping. But I make myself do it. And I love onion soup and brown bread! I think I should move to Spain! By the way, it's -4 wind chill today here. Brrrrr....

Re: very early preg symptom: strong smelling morning urine????

Hey there! Well, my student finally turned up, half an hour late, apologized profusely, and got back into my good books because she had all her homework done, so..I just decided to "give" her an extra half hour.. I'm so soft!

Anyway, the sharp twinges are still here. I wonder if anyone has any clues about the urine thingy?

I think you should move to Spain, Autumn! If you enjoy sunshine, fabulous wine, great food, garlic, sun-ripened tomatoes, passion, friendly people, white beaches and loads of culture, this is the place to be! I'm voting for you to come here and experience all this first hand!

I'll be off shopping in a while. DH is coming back from work (it's 5:15pm) and we're doing our weekly big shop for food. I'll be getting some more wine! (Just following doctor's orders!)
