Hello to you all! How is everyone doing? Any new symptoms or comments to share with the rest of the class? Aside from the fact that I eat like a horse, my dreams are crazy, I cry alot, I can feel movement(even with my hand on my stomach if I'm laying down), and did I mention that I eat alot? I'm looking pregnant now, more than I ever did, which is good aside from the horrific chore of finding clothes that still look good on me. Its all worth it though.
anyone have ideas of when their baby showers will be? Anyone finding out sex before delivery? Let me know---cant wait to hear from you all.
Well I am borderline, but we usually combine July/Aug anyway. So as far as my baby shower, the one will be after the baby is born because then everyone can get to see and hold the little one. Plus I won't be sooo totally cranky.
As of right now we are finding out the sex if the baby will let us in March! I can't wait. I have a hunch we are having a boy and when I answered the old wives' tale list someone posted it points to boy too so we'll see.
Do you have a hunch what you are having?

If your left breast is bigger than the right during pregnancy, you're having a girl. If the right is bigger, it'll be a boy. If they are the same size, you're in for a surprise!
If you get moody during pregnancy you are more likely to have a girl. This is because all women are moody, and when carrying a girl you become doubly so.
If you carry the baby out front (others can't see your pregnancy from behind) then you will have a boy. If others can tell that you are pregnant when looking at you from behind, then you will have a girl.
Have the mum-to-be pick up a key. If she picks it up by the round end, it will be a boy. If she picks it up by the long end, it will be a girl. Should she pick it up at the middle, twins are on the way.
If the mother's age at conception and the year of conception are both even or both odd, the baby is a girl. If one is even and one is odd, the baby is a boy.
Ask the mum-to-be to pick a number. Match the number with the corresponding letter of the alphabet (A=1, B=2 etc). Then ask her to choose a name beginning with that letter. If she chooses a boy's name, it will be a boy. If she chooses a girl's name, it will be a girl.
Hang a gold pendant (preferably one the mother wears often) over the palm of the mother's hand. If the pendant moves in a circular motion, it will be a girl. If it swings back and forth, a boy is on the way.
If the mum-to-be was the more aggressive partner when the baby was concieved, it will be a boy. If the father was the more aggressive, the baby will be a girl.
If you suffer from acne during pregnancy, you will have a girl.
What side does the mum-to-be lie on while she's resting? If she lies on her left, it's a boy; on her right, it's a girl.
If young boys (pre-school age) show interest in you while you're pregnant, it will be a girl. If they ignore you, expect a boy.
Ask the mum-to-be to show you her hands. If she shows them palms up, it's a girl; palms down, a boy.
If you dream of girls, you will have a boy. If you dream of boys, you will have a girl.
that did nothing but confuse me further about half of those i'm having a girl and the others was a boy. some i think i even tipped the scales to make it so it was a boy. either one is a blessing i know and you can dress girls way cuter than boys but the idea of a "mini me" is kinda scary, LOL
well tomorrow is the big day for me-i am actually a little scared-i don't know why-i already have butterflies-boy or girl it doesn't matter-i have evrything for both and i already have one wonderful little girl so it doesn't matter-let ya'll know tomorrow night
Well, my hip pain is getting MUCH better.... YEAH!! But lower abdomen pain is getting worse. My appetite is getting much better, too. I've tried to do smaller meals more frequently and it's really worked. I'm really looking pregnant now, and Angel, I have "Fusion"
now. My whole tummy just popped out this week. I'm getting the "belly looks" from everyone now. So much fun. I go Thursday to hear the heartbeat and get my AFP results. (I'm a little nervous) but we'll schedule my twenty week ultrasound for 2 weeks! I can't stand the wait much longer.
I can't wait either. Isn't it something how one night you don't look preg. (just fat) and the next morning BOOM!! you look pregnant. That is how it happened for me too. I go today for a regular check up, then we will prob. schedule the ultrasound. I might have to beg her to do it today. I am alomost 17 weeks should I make her do it today or try to wait another 4 weeks.
I too am still waiting to "pop". I am carryiing very small and don't think I even look pregnant, even though I wear baggy clothes and it's hard to tell.
My appetite has improved....but these leg cramps are killing me! They radiate from my knees up to my hips....and I have not been sleeping very well which stinks because I work and am out of the house at 7 a.m and get home at 6 p.m. I WANT SLEEP!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've been told that I'm small now......but I will "pop" very soon. I just hope that I can maintain a healthy pregnancy and gain VERY minimal weight. I was already 210 (5'8") when finding out that I was pregnant. The good part about everything is.......I've lost weight since getting pregnant. And still maintaining a 10 lb loss.
God Bless everyone for a healthy pregnancy!
oh one more thing..........embarrassing as this is......I craved a tuna sanwich yesterday......had it and enjoyed very much dipping my pickles in mayonaise.
lol! The woman I sit next to almost up chucked her lunch!!!
Ah yes those cravings are a killer!! I don't crave too much specifically, but commercials on tv can get to me pretty bad! I just want to EAT... I am still doing good on the weight thing. Just 9lbs gained by 20 weeks.
I figure I'll be like my momma and not "pop" untill I am 24 weeks or so. I am not showing hardly at all yet, but thats how she was for all of her pregnancies. So I guess we'll see.
I have strong "boy" vibes but all the old wives tales come up 50/50. Even the Chinese Prediction calanders, which my co-workers SWEAR by, give me 2 different answers. Thankfully the u/s is this Thursday!! I am hoping the boy vibe isn't just wishful thinking....
wattagirl, you have an appt today right?? Let us know how it goes!
WOW!! Wattagirl today is the day!! Can't wait to hear your news!!
Siren - Glad to hear you have "fusion"! Mine looks like it's starting and then moves at a very very slow pace. I can't wait until I totally look pg!!! Yeah I have a belly, but still kinda just looks like I am getting fat again. But I know soon I will get my belly!!
Kelly - I personally would wait the two wks because then it would be more apparent what you are having. I know it's hard, but I'd rather be sure than have a "late bloomer". I have to wait until the 3rd week in March!! ugh!
Marie How did your appt go? Did your munchkin cooperate and let you hear the beat? Let us know o.k. when you get a minute.
Hope all you ladies are doing well!!

No insanely weird cravings here, more or less its just a craving for food period. My weight gain hasnt been to high-7 lbs in 18wks. But I am of a small frame anyways, I do have a feeling that its gonna start catching up. Im not fully looking pregnant yet but at least I no longer look like I can't lay off the booze LOL. No strangers have really looked at me funny so I'm not there yet but everyone I know personally says they can tell. anyone highly emotional?
I'm so excited about my preggy tummy... it's getting bigger by the day. I'm still not big enough to wear maternity pants (I haven't grown in the butt or hips or anything, and they make them WIDE) but my hip hugger jeans sit right below my belly, and have been a life-saver. I'm carrying like a little basketball. I found some adorable maternity shirts, and paired with my jeans, I now have some clothing options. Funny thing is, I have to wear the longer maternity shirts, because my pants have to ride so low (and my belly keeps pushing them down) that I'd often have a little TOO much showing in the back. Luckily, we're all pregnant while the "Peasant" top look is in, so we can be stylish!
well gals it's a girl-i'm so excited -funny thing about the weight gain-i've only gained 3 pounds at 20 wks but totally look pregnant-i have a beautiful belly and love it-my cravings are beginning to get worse but i'm really trying not to over do it-the worst time is when i'm on the computer at night-i gained 30 pounds with my last one-well talk to everyone later
