A 4D ultrasound strings together the stationary images from a three dimensional ultrasound to create a four-dimensional moving video. Parents see a clear, moving picture of their baby - an animated view. You can actually see exactly what your baby looks like. All of the facial features, the wrinkles and the skin. It can also see inside your baby to look at the baby's organs. You will be able to see the ovaries if it is a girl.

I live in "the sticks" to but I drive an hour to the hospital in the city. Everyone call your hospital and ask them about it. If a West Vriginia hospital has it, I am sure yours does to.
My doctor just automaticly scheduled me for a regular one. I just happened to be looking at my hospital's web site and saw that they had it. Even on the web site they said you could only have it done if they thought there was a problem with your baby and they needed to take a closer look. But, I called my doctor anyway and she said I could opt. to have it done but I would have to pay $50.00. because it was my decision and not her's. $50.00 is not too much to get an actual look at my baby, and to get to see what it looks like.
They are also going to video tape it for me, so I can show everyone at home.
My problem now is, my aunt has never seen an ultra sound, not even a normal one. So, my Mom decided that I should let her go with me to see the normal one because my Mom got to go when I was pregnant with my son. Now, when my Mom found out I was having a 4D done, she said I am sorry, but I have to go see this. And I really want my Mom there. They only allow 2 people in the room, and my husband is definatly going to be one of them. What do I do about my Mom, or my Aunt. How do I tell my Aunt, I would rather have my mom there?
