My wife is in the 32nd week and just found out
she only has 2.5 ounces of amniotic fluid. Has
anyone else had this problem or know anything
about it? She drinks incredible amounts of water
so that couldn't be the cause.
hi i had a baby 6 months ago. when i was 38 weeks my midwife came out to do a home check, while feeling my belly she said she thought the baby was bum down so i went to have a scan. at the scan they realised i had no fluid at all as well as her being bum down. 5 days later i had a c- section. they were in no rush to get her out so it obviously wasnt doing her any harm.
Hi I had the same thing, and my baby was VERY small. She had ovarian cysts, and my placenta was aged. (at about 28 weeks it was the age of a 37 or so week old placenta. did you know they have a "shelf-life"?? I didn't till then!!) I think the placenta thing was having gest. diabetes,(dr said most likly, I was NOT smoking) but it didn't show on the test they did. As it turns out, I had a perfect baby girl at 36 1/2 weeks, and she is wonderful. I expect you have a resolution in your case by now, seeing the date on your post??? I don't think its really NORMAL, but they catch it and monitor your pregnancy then I think everything will be fine.!!!
Thanks for the replies. She's at 35 weeks now
and still lowish on fluid, 5.3 cm today. Technically
"normal" now (5+ is normal range). They also
expect her to deliver early. Thanks for the
encouraging tips. Man, she is sick of bed rest!
yeh, I KNOW!!! I was single durring that pregnancy, but my mom and dad made sure I set up close to them. You DO know that your baby will be able to survive quite well outside at this point, right??? I was released from bed rest after the baby could be born at our local hospital with no complications. My Dr is cool. I had "stress Tests" weekly to check how the baby was getting along. once her score dropped to a 6 of 10, they sent me upstairs to be induced. (good thing my mom came for the check-up that day... was dialated for a few weeks, so told everyone that THAT was going to be THE DAY) And..... It was a wonderful thing. She was 6lbs. Tell your wife to hang in there, and let HER have some computer time!!!! LOL!!!!
