Cramping??

I have been having pg symptoms for about the last week. My period isn't due for a few more days, but last night during a movie I started feeling a strange cramp on my left side down low....now I am concerned that if I was pregnant (even only a few weeks) then I might be losing it. It didn't feel like a menstral cramp, and I don't feel like I am expecting my period.
Has anyone else felt this, or anything similar?

I am going to wait until the 2nd to take a pg test, because everyone says it wont show up before then. I am really hoping everything is ok....the more I think about it, the more I want this baby.

Re: Cramping??

Hello Bitterglitter

Since the pain is not that bad and there is no bleeding I would say you are probably okay. I am not sure since I have not been pregnant but am also hoping that it happens soon. If it continues or get's worse I would call your doctor. Let me know how your test goes on the 2nd. I am going to wait until 9th to take mine unless Aunt Flow comes first. GOOD LUCK
Lori

Re: Cramping??

I bought some sensitive (20 instead of 100) hpts from a yahoo store for really cheap. I am going to do one as soon as I get them. Probably tomorrow. I am so nervous. I keep trying to convince myself that it's all in my head at this point, because if I don't I will be setting myself up for a big disappointment.

The cramping is really mild now, one of my friends said that it might my my uterus stretching out. I thought that was crazy since if I am pregnant I would only be about 2 weeks along. She laughed and said "oh no, you get those kinds of pains from the very beginning."

Re: Cramping??

Good luck with the test!

When I first found out I was pregnant I thought I had a UTI, boy was I surprised! LOL

But I had the cramping and I was very tired. I normally have really bad cramps the night before and the day of because I have a cyst on my ovarie. When I was having cramps for about a week I knew something wasn't right. Also I noticed that my nipple was hard 24/7 and it wasn't going away. lol sounds funny
Good luck! and keep us updated
Angie

Re: Cramping??

I have noticed that too. My areolas haven't changed color or anything, but my breasts hurt, especially my nipples which have been HARD! It's painful to take my bra off, and even hug my BF too hard. He is being sweet about taking extra care not to hurt them even though he doesn't think I am pregnant! Poor guy.

I have been feeling sick, but no puking-I guess guys think that morning sickness is only puking in the morning. It's odd though, maybe I am more pregnant than I thought because I don't think I should be getting morning sickness yet....

Re: Cramping??

Hi Bitterglitter,
Good Luck tomorrow with the test. It sounds like you are going to be positive. I know what you mean how you feel it is in your head. that is how I feel. but I now have no symptoms. I think I am not pregnant. I am going to keep on trying. that is the fun part. well take care and let me know the results.

Re: Cramping??

Well, if you need help concieving I suggest taking some Maca. It's a root from South America that I started taking to level out my hormones. I was having some trouble with getting my weight down from being on depo, and hoped that getting hormones regulated would help. I was taking bc pills at the time.

On the bottle it says it will increase fertility-but for some reason I thought my bc pills would still work.
As you can see I am having my doubts. So if the test turns out positive tomorrow, then I will be reccommending it to everyone TTC right now!
[This message has been edited by bitterglitter (edited 01-30-2002).]

Re: Cramping??

where do you find Maca? From a health food store? My Naturopath gave me some Chaste Tree Herb which is supposed to regulate your cycle etc.

Is it pill form?

Re: Cramping??

I bought some stuff called Maca Magic. It's in powder form. Mix it in with a smoothie, it adds a slightly malty taste, so goes best with chocolate. I believe you can get it in pill form too. I bought mine off the net, so I don't know where you would find it in a conventional store.

Good luck to you!!!

Re: Cramping??

Hey - I've had four kids and am expecting my fifth. One of the first reasons I knew I was pregnant was that I had a weird pain. Weird pains really don't have to be something to be afraid of - they pretty much happen constantly through pregnancy from conception on.

Also, usually, after an egg is released, a little cyst can form - that could be it - also, your uterus could be stretching - and yes - it does start stretching this early.

Anyway - if you are pregnant - take a deep breath and relax because your in for a whole lot of weird twitches, tingles, and spasms!!!

Re: Cramping??

I'm so glad to hear your original post -- I'm at about the same stage (a little less than a week behind the orig. post), wondering if I'm pregnant, having symptoms, but thinking that it's all in my head.

You can already be getting sick, also. My friend is about 7 mos along, and one of her symptoms before she took her first preg test was that she was more tired and sick feeling than usual (she thought that it might be all in her head, also).

So now, I'm curious to know what your results were. Are ya gonna share?

Re: Cramping??

I took the test on Friday and it came back negative. I am going to take another one tomorrow morning. I have been really emotional lately (not like me at all). Getting a negative was really sad for me.

I think I may have taken the tests too early. I'll let you guys know after I take the final test. After that I'll have to stay away from this board otherwise my jealousy will go out of control!

Good luck everyone.

Re: Cramping??

bitter,
I am going through the same thing, I haven't missed my cycle yet either, but have this weird feeling...achy breasts, swollen tummy, emotional, hungry, nausiated, tired, dark nipples, weight gain...water retention, something. I took an E.P.T., but it said neg. So I am wondering too. I didn't cry, convinced myself that right now isn't a good time for another baby before I took the test. So I was sad, but didn't cry. I am wondering what is wrong with me if it's not pregnancy. Good Luck, nikky

Re: Cramping??

p.s. had that same cramping you had last night, and thought I was miss carrying too. But remembered that with my daughter, I had those same cramps early in preg, from stretching uterous. (speling) later

Re: Cramping??

Ohhhhhh nowwwww you did it. The cramping. Let me tell you about cramping. Ughhhh. I got the cramping before I even knew for sure that I was pregnant. It happened every day, sometimes for hours, sometimes pretty severely and I was SURE I was miscarrying. But I'm in my 19th week now and I still get it EVERY day. Each month when I go in for my appointment I ask the same questions to my doctor. "I have cramps. What does that mean?" He reassures me that it's fine and that it's just my uterus stretching. "But they get pretty bad sometimes. Really bad." Again the reassurance from him. "I mean BAD. And OFTEN. EVERY day." Then I get the look. lol My doc says some women just get it worse than others. I know it sounds silly, but try to take the cramps in stride, if you can. I still get them every day even at 19 weeks and sometimes I still think I'm miscarrying...which of course I'm not. In another week at least I can stop worrying about miscarriage and start worrying about premature labor instead. YEA!
Best of luck to you all. Deeeeeeep breathes.
