Well, we had our ultrasound and the tech said it was definitely a boy. We even got to take home a close-up picture of his package. Daddy is pleased and so am I. My husband is the last one in the family with his last name, so now with our first child being a boy the pressure is off of me. lol But of course I told him I AM getting my little girl some day.
Congrats...boys are great. LOL I know exactly what you mean about a little girl. We have two boys and are now trying for a third...crossing our fingers for a girl.
How exciting!! Isn't it amazing what technology can do these days? I didn't find out the sex of my daughter because it was a personal choice, but I think this time around we will find out. My husband and daughter are hoping for a boy. My husband says he needs the household to "even out". I guess me and my hormones and my sweet angel daughter are already going through that "mother - daughter" relationship that can be very trying. After all, we're women, even if she is only 3! It's amazing to me how boys and girls really are different. Men are from Mars and women are from Venus even at the youngest of ages. Anyway, I have a few weeks to go to find out what we're having, but either way I'll just give thanks. Congrats on your healthy baby boy! Do you have a name picked out yet?
No names picked out yet. It's going to be a while before that is settled upon. My husband prefers the more classic names, while I go for the newer "off" names. It's gonna be a struggle. I'll let you know who wins. We'll most likely end up compromising, but there are so many names to choose from! This is our first child and we're lost in the baby name books. How do you EVER pick the name which your child will use for the entirety of their lives?! Aghhhh. Just 18 weeks pregnant here and I already have SO MUCH respect for you who are already parents. I don't know how ya do it all.
Funny story as to how I picked out my now 5 year old daughter's name. My mother swore my brother was a girl and had the name Allison all picked out. Needless to say, he did not come out a girl. I love the name allison and never even considered another name for my daughter. Its like she was destined to have it. And she is SUCH an Allison. With this baby (another girl!) I have picked out the name Kristen, which my husband has finally agreed to. My mother and I came up with that one after hours of deliberation, and I love it. I love soft sounding names, that are sort of classics. I had the boy name picked out, but the ultrasound made us reconsider.
Oh my god! Allison is my sister's name, I thought that was cool because you spelled it the same way (with 2 L's). But the weird thing is that I also have a sister named Kristen!! Same spelling on that one too. In case you plan on having another girl, I also have a sister named Taryn. Haha!!
My mother also thought that my little brother was going to be a girl. She had the girl clothes hanging up and everything. She was very suprised when he came out a Daniel instead of a Kimberly.
Good luck!
