ok this happened at my first appt but i can't get it out of mind but never remember to ask at my other appts-when my ob was doing a pap smear she was taking longer than usual-she said something like my cervix was hiding from her-what does this mean-just curious
OMG.... ROFL!!!! That happened at my last pap too! She explained it to me as it was angled down so she had to 'lift' it. I am not really sure what it all ment either. It would be interesting to know what exactly is going on huh?!
The uterus/cervix change positions throughout your cycle and pregnancy. Sometimes it is very high and posterior (tilted to the back) making it very difficult for the dr to reach. Sometimes it is low and to the front, making it super-accessible. Just depends on the day!
That is NOT a silly hope!! A posterior cervix at delivery usually means a posterior baby (baby facing mom's tummy instead of mom's back) and makes for a horrible labor!! UGH! This usually doesnt happen, tho, and having a posterior cervix at the beginning is NOT an indicator .. so dont worry about that.
