Re: cramping & back pain in first trimester

Sissy,

Yes.
Very much so.
It's not all the time...but I do get mild cramping. And as for backaches.......I have one PERMANANT ONE!

The cramps are very very common, but if they are accompanied by bleeding, and fever......call your doctor right away.

Other than that.....you are not alone in that department. Just know that it's very normal.

Re: cramping & back pain in first trimester

Sissy,

I forgot to add, I have Lupus and have that antiphospholipid antigen. I am currently on baby asprin to make my sticky blood thinner.

This is my first pregnancy and am considered high risk....I'm so sorry to hear of your past miscarrages, and I can imagine all your worry.......but the cramps are very normal. Just remember if anything else accompanies the cramps......CALL YOUR DOCTOR.

Since we both are pretty much in the same boat......we need to get a lot more rest than the average person, and most importantly.......we have to realize that its in God's hands......God bless you for a healthy pregnancy.

Re: cramping & back pain in first trimester

I had abdominal cramping the first two months, and began having back aches last week; sounds like it's pretty common.

Bless your heart! I pray that you have a healthy pregnancy!

Re: cramping & back pain in first trimester

Well I am glad to hear that it is normal because my back is killing me. I have a lot of pressure in my lower stomach and in the ovary area. I don't go for my first visit until Monday and I am very excited. The pressure and the back ache is really bothering me, the tops of my legs even feel sore. I feel like I have just done about 500 sit ups. But, no spotting so I guess I don't need to worry right?
