I've been feeling the baby moving around quite a bit the last week or so. Well, this evening, I just felt a pretty good pop, so good that I could feel it on the outside!! So I poked gently where I felt the pop, waited a couple seconds, then "POP POP" two really good ones. I called DH and he put his hand over mine while I poked and HE could feel the pop. Then I kept poking (lying on my back) and everytime I poked I'd feel AND see the pop 3 or for times in a row! Pretty strong movements for 18 weeks, huh? DH is a soccer player/lover, so you could imagine how excited he was.
I felt the first movements around that time too... are you pretty thin normally? They say that can be a factor in feeling movement sooner than 24 weeks. It is one of the BEST parts of being pregnant! I am so happy for you. <IMG SRC="http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif">
hi and thanks!! I am 19 weeks today, and I am pretty thin. I actually had to gain a little weight before I got pregnant because I was underweight. I've only gained about 5 lbs so far, and I am very narrow hipped, so I'm caring right out front, which could also explain how I'm feeling so much.
Thats so great that you got to feel the baby inside and out!
I am glad you posted this as I was over at my mother's this weekend showing them u/s pics and letting them hear the heartbeat with the doppler we rented. I was trying to find the hb for the 2nd time (my brother had just woken up) when I felt this really big POP and put my fingers there. Another pop and I felt it on the outside! So I had my brother put his hand there and it took a second but he felt it too! I wasn't sure if it was a muscle spasm (even though it felt like baby from the inside too) or if it really could be felt from the outside. So thank you! My bro is really excited that his niece loved him enough to say hi that way. lol
Wow!!! I am so ansy waiting and waiting for this little chub to get a move on here! You are keeping my spirits up. I see your 18-19 weeks and I think to myself that I just gotta hang in there. I also keep remember ing that my first was 15 weeks 4 days and that the second baby didn't move until 21 weeks! So This child will likely be the weenie-in-betweeny!!
