I went to the Dr. today because of the cramping that I had and we listened to the heart and everything seemed to be fine. But he never did answer my question about what the pressure I keep getting is. Does anyone else get pressure in their abdomen? Mine is usually on the left side. My DR. didn't seem to worried about this but I am. Also, I told him about the cervical mucous I've been seeing alot lately. He didn't seem worried about that either. Has anyone else done this? I lose mucous usually once a day. Is that normal? My Dr. seems to think so but I am still worried. Well thanks alot guys. I'm almost 18weeks.
I'm only about a month along, and I get what feel like period cramps every now and again, and that also worries me. I'm assuming that its normal for us to feel little aches and pains and pressures in a place of the body where things are rapidly growing. I could be wrong..but if the doctor tells you not to worry, I wouldn't worry. He has probably seen many pregnant women in his day! =)
P.S. does anyone know anything about getting period-like cramps in early pregnancy? Its got me a little worried...

I have had period like cramping since I got pg. I have asked my DR. time and time again and he always assures me that period like cramps are normal. I have also read that they are normal especially in the 1st trimester. Hope this helps a little cause I've been worried about it too..
I am now 26 weeks pregnant. I have had menstrual cramping and heavy discharge through my whole pregnancy. My doctor says it is normal. She had it too. My doctor is a woman. She has 3 kids (all boys) and her youngest one is only 10 months old. She has been through it and it is all fresh in her mind. She said the discharge is actually good, because it helps fight off infection in the cervix. The cramping is just stretching pain or bowel pain. Everything is moving around in there making room for another human being to live. That's gotta hurt a little.
You are at the exact time that your uterus will be stretching because you baby is growing so fast. All my books say that some pain in your stomach is totally normal because you are feeling the stretch. I am 16 weeks, and just feeling little twinges of pain. Have you felt the baby move yet? You may be feeling it without even knowing it, and that could be adding to it. I really wouldn't worry about it. This pain is supporsed to start around week 16-17, and last a couple or a few weeks.

I wonder if the pressure I feel in my left side is maybe the little one? I'm not sure though because it's kind of high up kind of under my bellybutton to left. Could it be the baby? Gas? or something else?
Well I am 25 wks tomorrow and I have pressure galore!! I know in my case it is a combination of my little girl and the normal stretching. She loves to be right up front, so it makes walking interesting sometimes! Also my stomach is soooo hard because of her pushing on the front.
So it might be the same in your case. Your little blessing is probably just residing there where you feel the pressure and the normal growing pains.
Today I am getting some more pressure "down there" and it feels like she is leaning maybe on my vaginal area or maybe it is just some stretching or something I don't know. Fun, fun!
