Well, I started spotting again yesterday evening, and it hasn't stopped yet. I am so sad, I can't stop crying, and I am at work (not very professional). I just posted a lengthy post on the infertility board where I was before I came here. The RE said that there is nothing we can do but wait. Either the fetus will expell itself and I will start bleeding heavily, and then know, or maybe it wont. If it doesn't, I wont know anything more until the next u/s on April 30th, which seems like a lifetime from now. Thanks for listening to me, I just need to vent. Everybody keeps telling me not to think about it, but then again, how can I not when I see it every time I go to the bathroom I am going away until Monday, so hopefully time will go by fast and I will be able to relax a little.
I'm sorry to hear you are bleeding again, but try to stay positive until your u/s.
Please also keep in mind that MANY women bleed for the first couple months and everything is normal. My SIL bled (heavy heavy bleeding) for the first 4 months of her pregnancy. She thought for sure she was going to lose the baby because of how much she bled everday. But all was fine, and we just celebrated my nephews 1st birthday last Sunday.
Hi Jody - I'm so sorry. Has your doctor told you to do anything differently just in case, like lie down? I have also heard of ladies who have been bleeding and everything has been okay. Can you get your doctor to go ahead and do an US now (I'm assuming you haven't had one yet)? I'm sure it would be covered by insurance b/c of your symptoms.

Kippy, I had my 6 week u/s on Tuesday, and we saw the babies heartbeat. I was bleeding last week, it stopped for two days, and now I am bleeding again. The DR. pretty much feels that if it is going to happen, nothing will stop it. If there is an abnormality, then it is just meant to be. Thanks for your thoughts though.
Jody i am so sorry to hear what you are going through. you are in my prayers and i hope that everything goes okay for both you and your baby just try to stay positive i know it may seem hard but thats all you can do. with much love Kitty

Hey Jody I am so sorry to hear you are having this scare! I too had bleeding in the beginning and I found out I had a pollyp - cyst on the end of my cervix. Which is very common in pregnancy. Have you had a pap done recently since the bleeding started?
I will keep you and your little miracle in my prayers and hope everything is o.k.!! Why won't they up the u/s date?? When I was bleeding they had me come in or are they waiting for you to be a further along?
(((((hugs))))))

Hey Jody... I know this is not easy, my heart goes out to you, but I too had bleeding early in my last pregnancy for about a week. All women are different. Remember you did see the heartbeat, there is a good chance everything will be ok. Just keep praying and I will pray for you. God Bless!
Jody ... I remember you from the infertility board and seem to have so many things in common. I have been taking a progesterone supplement and will continue through my first trimester. Are you taking any? My infertility specialist recommends it because some of us have difficulty producing enough progesterone during the first few months. I am sure your doc knows what is best. I will pray for you Jody. I know many people who have bled too and have been perfectly fine.
Bless the moment and remember the rest is in God's hands. Hang in there sweet girl.
Jody===They said the same thing to us when Valerie was about 2 weeks along she started to spot and it never got heavy just enough to use a pantyliner once or twice a day and mostly just when she would sipe. It was pink, brown (mostly) and just a little red at one time. It stopped at 9 weeks when they said her uterus would act as a pressure dressing and that it could be from a previous (2 yr prior) surgery she had on her cervix. Well it stopped and we're alomst 26 weeks pg now with our son. Hoping and praying this is normal for you with this pg and that all works out just fine as it did for us. Take care Chris
Thanks for all the responses. There was a lot of positive feedback in there. Also, I did just have surgery (operational hysteroscopy) in November to remove two fibroid tumors in my uterus, and two years ago I had another fibroid removed really close to my cervix (why I wasn't getting pg at the time - nobody was getting in there ). I am going to ask about the progesterone. Plus, I have directly linked the bleeding to certain levels of activity. I called the doctor today, and the nurse said that I could hopefully get in sooner for the ultrasound (like tomorrow), and that if it comes back positive, that they may consider bedrest until the bleeding stops. But, that was at 8:30 this morning. Now, its 4:15, and I haven't heard back from them, and I just called, and got the answering service (AHHHHHH). Anyway, I will keep everybody updated as soon as I know more, but I really want to thank everybody for your positive stories, it really helps me
Jody ... hope you are doing well. I have been praying for you. Also, I started taking progesterone pills since I found out and know several of my clients have also taken it and had successful pregnancies after. you only take it for the first trimester. Goodluck and hang in there!!! Let us know about the ultrasound.
