Post worried

i am ~8 weeks and i've been having brown spotting off and on for 2 weeks now. At 6 weeks i had a terrible migraine that sent me to the ER. i was given demerol and phenergan (sp? anti-nausea drug). The Dr. in the ER said it was safe for early pg. The next day i began spotting. Went to Dr. and she looked at my cervix and said miscarriage was threatened, that I had 50% chance of losing the baby. She said not to call again unless I was soaking a pad in an hour, which thankfully I haven't. I decided to change Dr. and won't have an appt. until May 20. The new Dr.'s nurse was very nice and said that spotting like mine is very common and the fact that it's brown is good (old blood) I have been resting and I stop for a couple days and then it starts again. I have mild cramps, feels like AF will start, but I have felt that from the beginning. I know that spotting is common, but I'm so scared. Has this happened to anyone else with a positive outcome?

I have heard of many threatened miscarriages that turned out just fine. Best wishes to you and your baby. What doc are/were you using? My doctor in Jacksonville is WONDERFUL!!!!!! If you want a recommendation, let me know.

hi siren, thanks for the reply. Actually, i'm new to the boards and didn't realize that if you don't put in where you are from, it picks a place for you. I'm not really from Jacksonville, I live in Indiana!! I should try to change that.
I have not been spotting at all today. That makes me feel better, but at the same time, i'm still left wondering. Going crazy with all the wondering! Worried that even if it was a little spotting, it happened over several days, so what could that mean??? Also, just found out that my blood type is Rh negative. I read that if you have bleeding, they are supposed to give you that Rh shot earlier than 28 weeks. My old dr. seems not to care and haven't seen my new one yet. Does anyone know anything about this? Seems I just can't quit worrying!!
