Question My doctor prescribed progesterone

I just wanted to know if anyone has had positive results from being prescribed progesterone? I have a 2yr old and I have had two miscarriages since I had him. Both pregnancies ended around 9 wks. My doctor prescribed Progesterone suppositories this time as soon as I had a positive HPT. I am supposed to take them once daily through my first trimester. I am now 8 weeks along (been taking them for a month now). Has anyone ever had a similar experience?

I have not had a miscarriage, but did have spotting at 5 weeks with my son, and I took the suppositories until 12 weeks. I had no further complications (spotting stopped the day I started on progesterone), and delivered a healthy baby boy. It is definitely unpleasant, but worth it!

I have been taking progresterone suppositories since the day after my IUI. I had low progresterone during my first pregnancy which ended in a stillborn.
They said one of the causes could have been the low progesterone during the 1st trimester. I am on Suppositories until at least 12 weeks TWICE a day!
