Hi, i was wondering if it is normal to lose weight ? I am 16 weeks pregnant and up until about a week ago had put on about 6.5 pounds, i weighed myself this morning and now weigh about 1-2 pounds less than before i got pregnant ! has this happened to anyone else ?

I haven't had this happen but when I was discussing weight with my nurse because I hadn't gained any since my last visit she told me it was actualy normal for some people to lose weight when they are pg. I wouldn't try not to worry too much and if it really worries you, don't hesitate to call your doc
Sometimes when women get pregnant, they actually start to eat a lot healthier and cut out lots of the junk food. If thats the case, than its probably nothing to worry about. As long as your eating good.
I lost weight then entire time. My doctor told me that some women will lose weight because A. the are eating healthier and B. they stop drinking cokes, and I was doing both. Hope that helps you a little. Just so you know...me losing weight had nothing to do with Victoria being sick...she was on track on growth size. Just didn't want you to get scared

thanks for that i see my obstetrician next friday, so i will bombard him with questions then lol...i havent seen him for 7 weeks, is this normal ? i am seeing a normal medical doc too, but this is for the diabeties....they dont even discuss pregnancy with me ...I am high risk, so i thought 7 weeks is a long time ! i did quickly see a ob last time i went to see medical doctor as i had had some spotting and was concerned, he tried to listen for the babies hearbeat with a doppler but couldnt pick it up, so i demanded a quick ultrasound, saw the heart beat and the baby moving, so i am probably worrying for nothing !

Since I was 5 weeks, I lost 15 pounds and haven't gained a pound of it back. Dr wasn't too worried but said if I lost anymore, I'd be put in the hospital!
IS IT NORMAIL TO LOSE WEIGHT ?
