I really don't understand what your doc is saying. Its impossible to get pregnant without ovulating, because you need an egg. If you weren't ovulating, you wouldn't be pregnant in the first place. Maybe im just misunderstanding something here...

Harley,
What kind of doc are you seeing now? I would suggest getting a different doctor. If you ovulate and get pregnant, than it sounds like something else is wrong. Maybe your progesterone is low or something. Maybe you should pop into the TTC thread and ask them? I hope everything works out.

Hello
I'm so sorry to hear about your news. There is a book called Silent Grief by Clara Hinton that my help you. It not only helps people with mulitiple m/c but also those with Infertility Issues. I know that you can do a look up on it and find lots more info on it and others that praise it. I heard about it after the death of my daughter but didn't think it would help..looked it up and it has helped more than ever. I hope everything works out for you....

Hi. I'm so sorry to hear of your losses.

My first thought is that you need a better doctor. This guy doesn't sound like he knows what he's talking about or simply not explaining it correctly. I'm confused.

Like coppertop said, you wouldn't be pregnant if you're not ovulating. And not everyone ovulates every month, but what does that have to do with m/c's? There are multiple reasons why maybe the pregnancy isn't 'sticking', could be a blighted ovum, checking the health of your eggs, or it could be low progesterone etc...

Also, you could have something I found out I have. There are many women now who've found out they have it after having had several m/c's...a blood clotting disorder. I had a couple superficial blood clots in my 20's due to the birth control pill. When we conceived this December I didn't even think about it. My mom immediately reminded me and when I told my OB/gyn she gave me a special genetic test. It came back that I have a genetic tendency to blood clots. Had to start giving myself two shots a day of blood thinner so that I wouldn't get a clot or that there wouldn't be one to the placenta (thus m/c). This is more common than we ever knew before.

Please, find a doctor that will do whatever is necessary to discover why you've had several m/c's and help you find a solution. You deserve to have a happy healthy baby! I know I can't imagine how you must be feeling right now, but please know our thoughts and prayers are with you.

In love and light, L & J (baby EDD 9/15/03)

I was told I did "not" ovulate. What they really mean is I do not make QUALITY eggs. Which is one reason you could be miscarrying. just ovulation alone is not good enough, you must have a good quality egg for a pregnany to stick...

Also, progresterone should be monitored very closely if you have had several MC... if you have been ttc for over a year you should see a Reproductive Endocrinologist (RE or infertility specialist) they can explain this much better

A friend of mine was told the same thing when she had 3 miscarriages. Her problem is she has polycystic ovaries which means her ovaries aren't developing appropriately enough to support a pregnancy. Have you been diagnosed with this? She had irregular cycles as well. Maybe you should look into it. They put her on a few meds to help her get pregnant and within a yr she was pregnant with twins. One of which she did miscarry, but the other one is due June 3. I'm sorry you keep going through this. I know the feeling. I've been pregnant 5 times and only have 1 son. He's definitely my miracle baby. I had one miscarriage and 3 ectopics. My last one was last month and I had to make the decision to have a tube removed and one tied. I can no longer have children and I regret my decision, but it probably saved my life. Just hang in there and you too will have your miracle baby!!! Persistance pays off

HI Harley
I do not have any information about this but I thought that you may want to post your question on the Infertily board. Those ladies over there know a lot of information about different problems that can occur when trying to conceive and they are the sweetest. Sending Baby Dust and Good Luck your way.
