What do you make of this? I am currently on day 26 of my cycle. My cycles range anywhere from 28 days to 36 days.

Here's how my day went:

7 am: Positive pregnancy test using EPT

9 am: Small amount of bright red spotting

1:00 pm: Negative pregnancy test (I had held my urine all day for this test) using Walmart generic brand pregnancy test

How did I get a positive and then a negative in the same day?

Also: I assumed the red spotting was implantation - but then would a test have shown as positive on the same day?

EPT is much much much more sensitive than the Walmart brand...you need higher amounts of hcg to detect pregnancy with the Walmart brand.

Go get a First Response Digital (6 days before missed period). Very accurate.

Urine is more concentrated in the morning and sometimes it cannot detect early pregnancy during the day. There has to be a certain amount of HCG in your urine. I would wait a couple of days and take another test.

You can go to doctor office to have a blood test. It is very accurate.
