Smile yard sales !

hey everyone! i just got back from a community yard sale in a development, and i got some cute decorations for the baby's room, and also a barely used crib mattress for $10! it was kept at the grandma's house so it was barely used it looked brand new! i'm so excited! the costs of preparing for the baby are so overwhelming but my mom is helping me out some and we're gonna go to yard sales this summer and search for nice stuff. i don't exactly like buying used stuff with stains on it!! but sometimes you find things that just haven't been used. plus i got to spend time with my mom and got a nice walk out of it!

Yard sales really aren't a bad way to go. I actually love to stop and browse at yard sales. My mother and I usually go alot during the summer months. There is this one really nice district that we always go to and a lot of the stuff the people get rid of is still new in the box. I agree about buying stained up thing but if it's in good condition there is no reason it can't be bought...it will save you tons of money!

I'm not afraid to admitt that alot of my kids clothes come from yard sales. It's cheaper and if in great condition, why not! You can find cute things.

Hi,

I've bought a ton of clothes and toys from yard sales! I just love them!
Just be careful when buying larger things, such as car seats, cribs, swings etc., because you never know how much they may have been abused by the previous owners.

Take care.

Whenever I see the latest news article claiming it costs SOOOOO much money to raise a kid, I think "haven't they heard of yard sales?!?"

I love yard sales! I get tons of my kids clothes from them.
