| Concerned about steriod injections at 30 weeks - pre-term labour
Hello, I had cervical funneling at week 30 and was admited to the hospital due to signs of pre-term labour. I had 2 steriod injections 24 hours apart and went on bed rest. At 30 weeks My DD at was estimated to be ~3.69 lbs, but the ultraslound at 34 weeks estimated 5 lbs, so there was clearly a slow down of weight gain (but not sure if that's b/c I was eating less or due to the effect of steriod)... currently i'm 36w4d and will likely carry her full term . I am just very concerned about the steroid shots i had during week 30 because I don't know what are the long term effects of the steriods have on my baby. Will she develop to be a normal child or will there be some side effects that will affect her in the long run (e.g brain, body development, learning disability?). This is my first child and I felt extreamely guilty of not taking better care of her b/c the cervix funneling wouldn't have happen if I hadn't work so much. pls advice. Experiences from other mom who went through similiar situations will useful.
