I heard it was about 10 times an hour. I was told that I don't need to count fetal movement though because sometimes, baby is very active when you are active, so therefore you don't feel it. Then when your not active, it's babys nap time so you don't feel much. I was just told, if you don't feel baby move at all for a few hours, then to call your doctor. Hope this helps.
EDD with baby #1 for hubby and I September 21st, 2003! It's A BOY!
In prenatal class I was told 6 movements within a 2-hour time frame.
If you don't recall the last time you felt movement, just sit and relax for a little while. You'll probably feel something once you're sitting still.
10 times in 4 hours is what i was told. One thing to note is as the baby gets bigger there is less room to move so you may feel less because of it. If you haven't felt the baby move in an hour or two than have some orange juice of some fruit (something with lots of sugar) and lay down and relax. If you get worried than don't hesitate to call your doctor and get things checked out, it's better to go in and have everything be fine than to sit home and worry that it's not. With my last pregnancy i was constantly worried that there was something wrong, she didn't move as much as my other 2 did, i ended up going in for fetal stress tests and all that stuff, everything was fine, so i felt foolish, but atleast i knew that everything was ok instead of hoping it was.
