Post I want to have a baby, should I wait till we have more money???

I am 35 and I want to get pregnant. I don't make that much money but between my husband and i we do fine. I worry about bills that I have and things I feel I need to take care of before I get pregnant but in a way I feel like there is no "perfect" time to start a family..just do it is how I sometimes feel. What do you think? Any input would be greatly appreciated. I am on my last month of birth control pill and I'm not going back on it. I was only on it for 3 months. Thanks.

Hi Seamonkey,

You're right, there is no "perfect" time to have a baby.
My suggestion is to forget all of the material stuff and truly examine whether you want to have a baby. If you are emotionally ready, and it sounds like you are, then I say go for it!
I'm 34 years old, and let's be honest, at our age it can take a little longer to get pregnant.
My husband and I may always have some money concerns, but I have absolutely no regrets about becoming pregnant.

Best of luck!
Crystal

Thumbs up

I agree with crystal. There will NEVER be the "perfect" time financialy to have a baby. If you both are ready to be parents, I would begin trying now because who knows, you may even want another and as you get older, it may get harder.

Good luck and let us know what you decide.
J.

I'm already pregnant and just found out but I'm not sure if the time is right or like you said, the time is really never right. I've never been pregnant before. I'm happy and sad.

Don't be sad, Seamonkey! Babies are such HAPPY things!!! I was 18 when I became pregnant with my daughter. My b/f & I are now 21 & she will be 2 in October. It has been a bumpy little road, but you get thru it!! Sometimes we have to make some sacrifices, but it's well worth it for all that you get back !

Congratulations & try not to worry... everything happens for a reason & it will all work out just fine!!

If you and your husband are both ready to have a baby, then go for it. The money always seems to be there. You would be surprised how much money you can come up with when you have to. Best of luck to you and have fun trying. Stop worrying and work on having a family.

Hey Seamonkey, I am so happy for you! I am 26 and DH will be 30 next week. We have been trying for 1 year and NOTHING. We keep saying to ourselves that God knows what he is doing, which is why everything happens for a reason. I truly believe that babies are a blessing from God and hopefully I will qualify to recieve on too! Best fo luck to you and your DH! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/love1.gif

that is not a stupid question TeTr01. i was wondering that too in the beginning.

DH = darling husband or damn husband(depending on your mood)

there is an abreviations list floating around here somewhere. i will find it and bump it up. it helped me a lot.
