Okay here is goes. I was expecting my af on Sunday, and I have not gotten it yet. I took a pt today and it was negative. According to my caculations I should have gotten my af Sunday or Monday. Could I be testing to soon? I have a dr appt tomorrow for something else, but should I ask him to run a pt? I am so confused. Any replies would be greatful. Thanks.

If AF is late it should be fine to test. Since you're going to the Dr. anyway I think you may as well ask for a test, or at least be sure to mention that you're late. Did you possibly ovulate later than you thought? If so, you may be testing early. Hope that helps.
I think maybe for everyone, it is different. I tested when my period was 3 or 4 days late and it was negative. Then I tested again a week later and it was positive!
Hello! I would ask the doctor if he/she can take a pregnancy blood test since it does show in your blood 8- 10 days after conception and since you are late and are getting a negative urine tesr it couldn't hurt to ask just to be sure that you are not pg or are. Good luck let us know the outcome
Ok, so i'm confused...pregnancy tests should be taken AFTER a missed period? even though it is possible to have break thru bleeding and you think its your period, but its not ? ?
Hi-just wanted to give you gals an update. I went to the doctor yesterday, and told him about my negative pt's. He wants me to wait a while to see it af does come. Well no signs of it as of yet, and I am starting to feel nausea. I am pretty sure I pregnant. I will wait like he wants me to, and then I will go back and ask for a blood pt. Just wanted to put my two cents in.... The test that you may have taken might not have been sensitive enough. What I mean is some tests you have to have an HCG Level of over 100, some are 50 and some are as sensitive as 25. Your HCG Level MAY HAVE been on the lower end when you tested and wasn't able to detect the pregnancy. Does this make sense? Good luck...
btw, I tested positive 4 days BEFORE my AF was due. It was a light positive but still positive. And the name of the HPT I had taken was "First Response Early Response"
