Post uti during pregnancy
I am 24 weeks pregnant.This friday i did a home uti test it came back positive for nitrites,so i met the doctor she did a dipstick and told me there were a lot of white blood cells and sent the urine for culture.Meanwhile i also had some chills and was feeling feverish so she put me on macrobid 100mg 2 times a day.The results came back today and the culture was negative.I am scared how would taking macrobid when there was no bacteria affect my urine.It is driving me crazy.I have 6 more capsules to take.Is it ok to stop them half way.

Hello! Utis are very common and so are bacterial infections during pregnancy. I would ask your doctor if you should continue the meds that were prescribed to you. I would not just stop takeing them and it can not harm you or the baby. Take care and I hope that this helps you a little
