Any suggestions would be so helpful. We do not know if we are having a boy or girl, and we have the boy's name all set: Xander Jacob Robert, but for the girl, we had Dyllan Lora-Marie. Now, it seems that Dylan, or Dillan, etc, is so popular (although for boys), that we are discouraged. I don't want her to be in a class with 3 boys that have her name. The real kicker, though is that our neighbours just got a dog and named him Dillan. Nice huh? So, we have come up with a few options: Gabriella, Kierra (rhymes with Sierra). Our last name is Pilot.
My question is: is Dyllan popular where you are, or does it just seem like it because I am looking for it, and what do you think of it as a girl's name, or do you like the other options better?
Please help, we don't want to go in unsure of a name!
Thanks so much.

Hi! Well I'll tell you some of the names that we like and maybe you will really like one of them!!
Lainey
Preslee
Ava
Chloe
Brecken (my husband doesn't like this one but I think it's cute!)
Sophie
Abigail
Dyllan is pretty popular around here, but I have never heard it as a girls name. And it's usually spelled Dylan or Dillon. I think it's very pretty for a girl, I just have never heard it. Here are a few girl names that we considered, but DH liked Alexis best.
Thanks for the help, keep it coming! As a girl's name, I have seen it twice: Drew Barrymore's character in Charlie's Angels, and a girl on Good Morning Miami has that name. So, it is out there, just not very popular.

I like Gabriella too. It's very pretty and I agree it has a nice ring with your last name.
I haven't started thinking of names yet as I am only very early pregnant (5.5 weeks) and I want to make sure everything turns out OK first before I go that next step.
For a girls name dh and I had Brea Taryn for a girl picked out. I love that name. As for the name Dylan, personally, it's not a favorite of mine, but I think it's because I've only heard it as a boys name, so everytime I try to picture the name to a face, a boys face pops into my head. If I could get over that fact, I would like the name (because I do like it as a boys name). Let us know what you decide!!

I always wanted to name my little girl Abryanna Denise. Unfortunately, I can't have any more babies. I always wanted Abryanna and I got Denise from a friend of mine that passed on. I'm sure whatever name you pick will be beautiful. There's so many names out there I understand it's hard to choose. Good luck and take care!!
My son is named Dylan, but I think that is a great name for a girl. I also have a little girl named Bailey and when I named her everyone said that was a boys name. I understand your concern about her going to school and having a boy named dylan in her class but if you really like the name go for it! I think it's a great name for either gender. I am TTC baby #3 and we are already thinking of names the name we like for a boy is Nicholas, and the name for a girl is Kylie.

Hope these help you out in your quest for baby girl names
If we had a girl the first time we would have named her Marah. This time she would have been named Ava Elise. My Grandmothers middle name is Mahalee, which my sister and I awlays fought over, sadly we did not marry guys who liked the name, and didn't have girls.
But you could always use my name, Larissa.
Let us know what you pick!!
