Question Vomiting in second trimester?

Hello to everyone. I have a quick question. I have had no morning sickness at all thus far in this pregnancy. until today. I cannot keep anything down. not even water. I eat, and 10 minutes later I am in the bathroom huvering over the toliet. I thought if you had morning sickness you would get it in the first trimester. I am 15W and 5D today. I have been so sick today. I hope this will go away. Could this be the begining of morning sickness? Or maybe the stomache flu? any comments are appreciated

Hi there,

I am 23w3d and still suffering from morning sickness. I have since 5-6w. At this point the doctor doesn't think it will go away, not until the end of the pregnancy. So, I will be on medication until then. A few weeks ago, I tried not to take it for 2 days, and like you I wasn't able to keep down anything, not even water. if I were you, I would hope it is just the flu.

hope you feel better soon.

I had a few bouts of morning sickness in the first trimester but most of mine were in the second...Everyone is different--Some people have it the whole time...some people don't get it all and for some people it sneaks up in the 2nd and 3rd trimesters...

Hope you feel better soon!

thanks for your replies. I truly hope this is just a bug that will go away. I didn't have any morning sickness with my frist child so this is new to me. I feel alright this morning. I havbn't eaten yet so I guess I will see after I have something in me. Thanks again.

With my first pregnancy, I felt really bad the whole time. I felt kind of queasy the first trimester, and started getting really sick in the second trimester. I only gained 12 pounds during that pregnancy because I was so sickly. The second time around (with my son--the first was a girl) I felt bad until about 14 weeks, and then much better after that. So, everyone and every pregnancy is different!!!

Be careful,
If it continues to happen you need to go to the hospital. I have hyperemisis (severe morning sickness). I have lost 8 lbs. I am 8 weeks pregnant and have been struggling with it since weekd 5. Vomiting more than two or three times is not normal and my doctors have told me that to try to tough it out will only put my baby and myself in danger. I was admitted to the hospital last Friday doing exactly what your doing now. Just be careful I got in real trouble last week. HEather W.

Yep, I threw up today. All of my lunch. I hope for dinner tongiht I can hold it down. I will take your advice and watch myself. I don't want to go to the hospital. I guess only time will tell.

I do notice when I eat small amounts of food I do just fine. If I eat like I would normally, I vomit. I went to a resturant today for lunch. It was so good. I ate everything on my plate. I didn't want to eat small protions when I am paying for it. well, anyway I had to pull over on the drive home. This sucks.
