2WW two week waiting period (time between ovulation & af/or a bfp)

AF - Aunt Flo (your period)
AI - Artificial Insemination
APA - Antiphospholipid Antibody syndrome
ART - Assisted Reproductive Technology

BBT - Basal Body Temperature (taken first thing in the morning)
BC - Birth Control
BCP - Birth Control Pills
BD - Baby Dance (intercourse)
BFN - Big Fat Negative
BFP - Big Fat Positive
BIL - Brother in law
BMS - Baby-making Sex

CD Cycle Day
CM Cervical Mucus
CP Cervical Position
D&C Dilation & Curettage

DD - darling daughter
DS - darling son
DH - Darling or Dear Husband (or damned husband, at times!)
DHAC - Don't (or doesn't) Have A Clue
Dpo - Days since ovulation (post ovulation)

EDD - estimated due date
Endo - Endometriosis
EPO - evening primrose oil
EWCM - Eggwhite Cervical Mucus

FAQ - Frequently asked question
FIL - Father in law
FMU - First morning urine
FSH - Follicle-stimulating hormone

Gyn - Gynecologist

h/b - heartbeat
HCG - Human chorionic gonadotropin (detected by pregnancy tests)
HPT - Home Pregnancy Test
HSG - Hysterosalpingogram (x-ray to check uterus and fallopian tubes)
HTH - Hope that helps

ICSI - Intra-Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection (sometimes used with IVF)
IF - Infertility
INCIID - InterNational Council on Infertility Information Dissemination
IUI - Intrauterine insemination (artificial insemination)
IVF - In-vitro fertilization (fertilized egg is put into uterus)

LAP - Laparoscopic surgery
LH - Leutenizing hormone (detected by OPKs)
LMP - Last menstrual period
LP - Luteal Phase
LPD - Luteal Phase Defect

m/c - miscarriage
m/s - morning sickness
MIL - Mother in law

O - Ovulation
OB - Obstetrician
OPK - Ovulation predictor kit

PCO - Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome
PCOS - Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome
PCT - Post Coital Test
PID - Pelvic Inflammatory Disease
Pg - Pregnant
PMS - Pre-Menstrual Syndrome
POAS - Pee on a stick (referring to hpt)
PIAC - Pee in a cup (referring to hpt)
Prego - Pregnant
Prog - Progesterone

RE - Reproductive Endocrinologist (Specializes in infertility)
Rx - Prescription

SA - Semen Analysis
SHOW - Soft, high, open, wet (cervical discription at peak fertility)
SIL - Sister-in-law
SO - Significant other

TCOYF - Taking Charge Of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler

TIA - Thanks In Advance
TMI - Too Much Information!
TSH - Thyroid-stimulating hormone
TTA - Trying to avoid
TTC - Trying to conceive

U/S - Ultrasound
UTI - Urinary tract infection
