51 yr. old male. Since I was in my twenty's I have experienced sharp stabbing pains in lower right groin area that radiate down inside of right thigh. It is worse in the morning or with a full bladder but can strike at any time. It also seems to flare up when I am in stressful situations. I have been to numerous urologists who "think" it is prostatitis. Anybody have an idea? It's been 25 years of waiting for these flareups and when they hit the pain is unbelievable. Diagnosis? Treatment?

Sounds like prostatitis to me...symptoms can vary...ache in scrotum and shaft...general ache in pelvic area...sometimes pain or urination or ejaculation...blood in urnine, etc. I think I am having a mild case now...mild ache in scrotum as the day wears on...intermitent pain in shaft...I am taking antibiotics..Leviquin...not sure if it will help...it elevates PSA i HEAR...Try some antibiotics to see if that helps. Also, do not use achohol, cafeine, etc as it makes symptoms worse...good luck.
