to those w/ prostatitis...
Its been a little over 3 months since I've been put in the prostatitis catergory due to my symptoms- of course its not a diagnosis but since my symptoms are frequent urination, urethra pain, & rectum pain- I'm in this catergory. My questions are:
1. If its chronic prostatitis, do the symptoms go away for awhile or a feeling of a less inflamed prostate & less pain? Is this normal? & then they will return after awhile? Is this how chronic prostatitis works or is the pain pretty much constant & the same?
I feel less inflamed after I did acupuncture BUT maybe its just the affects of chronic prostatitis. I'm not on any antibiotics anymore. I'm debating whether to fly to NY to get all my body fluids tested- saliva, blood, urine, semen, & prostate fluid to at least rule things out. This doc also gives prostate injections if any bacteria is found. BUT of course- I cant find out if these injections are safe. The urologists I've asked have all said they know nothing about these injections.
I'm thinking about just flying to NY to get tested at least. The urologists here- keep doing the same tests- only blood & urine & cant find anything.
Any advice from other prostatitis sufferers would be appreciated!
